Hi all - my college group of gals (7 total) have a tradition of doing Secret Santa. In years past, we always picked names, but this year we're doing a grab-bag style (white elephant secret santa).

The budget is $50 and the goal is to be unique and fun and creative, so nothing like gift cards. In the past, I've given (1) swarovsky earrings, (2) lola martini glasses, (3) hot cocoa and hug mugs from max brenner for a girl who loved chocolate, (4) onyx pearl bracelet, (5) coach gloves. I can't remember any more.

I'm having a hard time this year because I don't have a particular recipient, so I'd have to find a gift that is suitable for 30ish gals generally. They're all young professionals, half are married, but none with kids.

Any suggestions? Thanks! :)

For my group of friends, alcohol is always a safe bet! Maybe pair liquor with ingredients for a cocktail or fun glasses, or wine with nice opener or something.

Those are really great ideas ILander - I never thought about the Moma Store!

IF they all love chocolate, Vosges is one of my favorite makers.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Laine - the glasses may be a good idea. I've given martini glasses before and they were fun and well received.

Movie Zombie - everyone likes chocolate, that is promising too =) The book is really funny :)

I'm also contemplating these:

Votive candle holder - http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?fromGrid=1&sku=19912299

Luxury throw and slippers - http://www.restorationhardware.com/catalog/category/category.jsp?categoryId=cat1630024

I received the Tiffany votive candle holder as a gift, and I love it! It is so gorgeous with a candle burning in it. I keep it at the edge of my tub and light it every time I take a bubble bath. It's also gorgeous on a bedside table. It always gives me a little thrill whenever someone gives me a little blue bag to open! I'm a sucker for the Tiffany packaging.

I would stay away from earrings unless you know for a fact that everyone in the group has pierced ears. I don't have pierced ears and people often give me earrings that aren't clip-ons as gifts, and it is annoying.
