I saw a home/professional jewelry steamer on ebay. Would that be better than an ultrasonic since I''ve read somewhere that ultrasonics may knockout some stones especially if you have pave diamonds like I do.

I just replaced my defunct Sharper Image one with the one that Gem Appraisers sells, I forget which one but I think it''s Sonic Wave?

Anyway I love it so far! It''s a little big for me ... I wish they had like mini US''s for if you just want to clean very small jewelry, since that is all I use it for...and I don''t like that you can''t take the whole basket out of the unit to dump like you could with the old SI one...but it does a very good job (I pulse it 3-4x though)...anything is better than my hand scrubbings I would give, I am just grateful to have a US again! I think it was $40 or $45 and it came in 1.5 weeks. They are a little slow with shipping.

I bought a SparkleSpa this year. It worked about twenty times and died. I would replace it if I could find something in that size that was recommended lasting longer.
