Hi friends -

Some of you may have read my posts regarding my questions, ideas and excitement over my complete ER reset. I struggled initially with choosing between 1.) custom set from a local designer 2.) Ritani Endless Love (non-halo style) or 3.) Tacori. After much deliberation, picture viewing (thanks to all :D ) I narrowed it down to a classic look. I realized over the years that I have been constantly drawn to a delicate pave/ shared prong style band with a diamond plopped on top ;) Trying on rings ruled out Tacroi and Ritani took too much from my diamond budget.

Long story longer, I COMMITTED to a setting and diamond at Diamonds Direct. My ring is an SES design - 2mm, shared prong with 90% eternity on both bands. I'll post diamond specs once I have my certificate on hand but essentially 1.53, H/ VS1, very good cut/polish/symmetry. My ring is scheduled to be ready for delivery (D-day  ) in two weeks. I am now questioning myself on ALL aspects :? Do I love this setting? Was it truly a great deal? Will my diamond trade-up be as significant as I hope??? (Coming from 1.1 I/SI1/) Why can't I find MORE info on SES? Are they as reputable as I first thought??? I have looked at Michael B's Petite Princess, a close second Simon G design, other Tacori designs, Ritani (again) and custom pieces on PS continuously for the past two weeks since ordering.

Anyone else get cold feet after signing that bottom line??? Or am I just crazy?

All the time, after drooling over bling on PS do I question my ring choice- which happens to be exactly what you described as your set! lol. BUT time and again, when I stare at rings, I find myself always tagging pics of sets like mine as the ones I love. I think the problem is that we all need more than one set! lol. At different time, and for different reasons I can see myself with something different, but I believe that you end of choosing a certain style for a reason and will probably be drawn to that style over and over again after bouts of buyers remorse.

Thanks, Amy! You are right - each style I pick echoes the look of my setting. I suppose I am mostly concerned with SES as a vendor, but DD assured me of their credibility ... they don't do as heavy of marketing as some other lines. I was just curious if anyone else felt like this after committing- excited but nervous, too!

I have no real advice. Just wanted to say that I thought this post was going to be about you wanting to back out of an upcoming wedding not a ring. Whew this is a lot less severe problem.

Hi! Don't worry, I think everybody gets nervous with such large purchases. Can we see what your ring will look like? I like Tacori too but it's like $5200k for just the setting. :o There are so many choices out there and we'll always see more things we like, right? So many sites and rings nowadays.

You are right .... it's just overwhelming when you are a diamond-holic :) I actually went into the jeweler today ... I had to pick up my new diamond earrings. They were actually the side stones from the setting I am coming out of. I will be creating a post just for them in a minute ;)

Here are some images of my new ring ... I'll post better ones once I receive it mounted and complete.

I am coming from a three stone ring ... best picture I have of the detail. It's paired with my husband's band on my little guy's foot in this image. You can see the awful clarity of this stone :(sad -

I second guess myself all the time...I think it's normal. Once you have your gorgeous new ring on your hand, it will be worth it! Can't wait to see handshots!
