I hope you find what you''re looking for! I am in a similar boat and even though I have it narrowed down to a ring - I''m having a heck of a time narrowing down from the many ideas that I love. I really like both of the rings you posted - enough to consider them for myself (like I need more ideas lol) I wish I was doing a pendant because I know exactly what I want, but I''m not really comfortable wearing a pendant like that here. I am looking for a silver bracelet here but all of the ones I''ve found are far too delicate for me. I really like that stuller bracelet - with some gorgeous diamonds that would be one heck of a knockout though I don''t know if you could do it under 2k.

Gypsy, I don''t think you could ever go wrong with a three carat line bracelet if you can find one at a good price. After I got married (12 yrs. ago) I made myself a list of classic pieces that I really wanted to buy in the next ten years. I got my platinum eternity first, then my diamond studs and jackets, and then my three carat line bracelet. I never look at my tennis bracelet and think it looks plain or boring. I really love it! It''s not very big, but it is enough if you know what I mean. It is noticable, bright and sparkly, and it can be worn with another bracelet or a watch.

I loved dani''s "1-800-CALL-LESLEY". I think that one''s going to stick!

I also agree with you about the Garland band from BN. There''s something about a 1.25 ct. size that''s just right.
My anniversary band is 1.25ct and my eternity is 1.28ct. They''re both "just right" for the size of my hand (sz.6).

Gypsy~I love gemgirl''s suggestion. Her bracelet is beautiful and classic.

Gemgirl, that is lovely... and still in the running

. I went shopping today and I was bummed that I didn''t get to try on any ''classic'' tennis bracelets, or even a 3 prong in line. Tiffany didn''t have one bracelet in the entire store that was all diamond. But we did manage to go to CH who carries Hearts on Fire and some other high end brands. And the good news is they had ALL the bezel styles I liked. And none of them really sang to me (okay so there was a 12 carat one...

). The one I liked the best was the FOUR AND A HALF CARAT bangle (for $19,700) shared prong 1/2 eternity. I''m such a size wh*re. The big ole rocks on the bangle were Hearts on Fire (hence the ridiculous price tag-- and it wasn''t even platinum!) and of course, they completely outshone the ''lesser'' quality diamond bracelets.

So I *think* I''m going to go for a shared prong bangle in the highest carat weight hearts and arrows melee I can afford (I am scrounging around all my old gold to see if I can eek out more funds for a blinger bracelet) and then if I want to upgrade later I can get a full ''eternity'' bracelet later in a three prong style-- just reset the exisiting melee and add some more. But I am going to ask for prices on both a shared prong bangle and an in-line three prong tennis bracelet. I have a feeling I will go for the shared prong however, just because I *really* want 5 carats total weight in a full eternity bracelet after today. Ahh well, a girl can dream. At least a 1/2 eternity bangle would give me maximum bling for the money at the outset.

I''m also thinking about getting my mom''s 7 stone re-set... into a custom ''garland'' ring... the seven stone bores me, and if I have it reset alternating a single larger melee (from the seven stone) with two smaller melee (I''d have to buy) it will look like the garland ring and give me the look-- for less.

That sounds like a really great idea, Gypsy.

Do you know though if melee diamonds in such a bangle can be upgraded later on? I asked because once I had an idea to do a line bracelet with certain sized melee and was enquiring with a few vendors whether I could upgrade to larger melee. They all told me that melee diamonds were not upgradable. Now, if you just add on more diamonds later (as opposed to changing them for larger ones) then I guess that'd be no problem.

Just wondering...

I like your idea Gypsy - I think you''ll love the bracelet you have in mind :)

Well, I''ve decided that I want 15 point melee in a bracelet/bangle which is NOT in the budget at the moment. The BGD bangle is stunning but I want 3-4 carats in a bangle. I''m a size wh*re. So I am going with a band that is a combination of the Blue Nile Garland and the Tiffany Aria eternity (but mine won''t be an eternity band). YAY!

Gypsy, I always love watching your brainstorm threads. You have the most lovely jewelry, and people always throw the best ideas at you! I wouldn't even know what to pick . . . until . . .

Just in case you're able to find any more gold to sell, I came across this today and thought of you.

I thought of you b/c when I was in Colombia we went to a jewelry store (the only place my dad buys my mom jewelry) and they had this AMAZING diamond bracelet. It was three rows of very small, bezel set diamonds. I loved the look. A bit more pow that the standard tennis bracelet.
