What I really don''t like are ''catchy songs'' with AWFUL vocals... I just don''t like it no matter how awesome everything else is


on a side note, I went to an opera montage put on by the musical theater group at my university and I am in love with "Lilly''s Eyes" from "The Secret Garden" (Simon & Norman) I cried they were sooooo good at telling a story with that one scene

The Secret Garden is one of my favorite soundtracks. Love Lilly''s Eyes.

I''m on a Rob Thomas kick right now because I''m going to see him in concert on Tuesday night.

I am LOVING his new solo CD (Cradlesong) and have been listening to it practically on repeat for the last week. Now I can sing along at the concert!!!

Tapping the Vein - they only have one album, unfortunately, but it is amazing
Sky Cries Mary (I adore their mid '90s albums, though they released a really recent one that's pretty good- however they aren't a local Seattle band anymore

Collide - their White Rabbit cover is awesome, it was on the last Resident Evil soundtrack, and they have a new album out.

Portishead- their latest album isn't my fave but it's still pretty good

Neurosis is always a favorite, especially Enemy of the Sun. Very ambient and weird.
Oh, and I've been listening to VAST a lot too, especially their Touched track.

Although I do have some, um, interesting taste in music, I promise that Tapping the Vein, VAST, Sky Cries Mary, Collide, Portishead and Conjure One are pretty user friendly and won't make your head explode.
