What are you LOVING right now?

For me:

Lady Antebellum - Need You Now
Lady Gaga- Poker Face
Brooks N Dunn - Honky Tonk Stomp
Sarah Mclachlan - Ice Cream
George Strait - Troubador
Anything Darius Rucker
Sia''s Breathe Me
DeBussy''s Claire de Lune
The harp sequence from the most recent Harry Potter (it is called When Ginny Kissed Harry)
Out with my Boots On
Eight Second Ride
Taylor Swift''s Best Day
Anything Sugarland

I don''t really listen to the radio - I mostly listen to stuff my friends put out. Some of my faves right now are:

for the past week its been

Regina Spektor (several of her songs, mostly ''two birds,'' ''blue lips,'' ''fidelity,'' ''eet,'' and ''the call'')

Ingrid Michaelson (anything by her really)

and Kelly Sweet.

The week before that it was Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, etc...

when my mood changes, so does my music. I don''t listen to the radio though. Pandora online is the way to go.

I can't listen to 'Breathe Me' by Sia without crying. It is forever tied to the season finale of Six Feet Under.

Right now I'm listening mostly to Rockabye Baby (Radiohead).

Rufus Wainwright as well. I''m using Pandora Radio a lot and getting to hear some great artists. Plus, Rufus will be in town the day after my birthday. *happy dances all around*

I saw Monsters of Folk this past weekend, and they put on a great show. Really digging their stuff, so that''s basically all I''ve been listening to on my commute every day.

Pandora is awesome. Just learned about it a few weeks ago and am addicted.

The Avett Brothers
Adele

Local artists=Jenn Cristy Band, King Bee & the Stingers

I just saw Tiny Universe a couple weekends ago, saw Tesla last week, seeing Black Crowes Nov. 10th, and Collective Soul dec. 11. Good stuff.

I''m loving the band Grizzly Bear right now. The song "Slow Life" is a particular fave.

Despite how trendy they are, I really like Owl City''s "Fireflies." It''s catchy as heck!

MP, I had to google the song you listed because I don''t listen to the radio so I''m not ''up to date'' on all the new music. It is a catchy song, his vocals are listenable. What I really don''t like are ''catchy songs'' with AWFUL vocals... I just don''t like it no matter how awesome everything else is

on a side note, I went to an opera montage put on by the musical theater group at my university and I am in love with "Lilly''s Eyes" from "The Secret Garden" (Simon & Norman) I cried they were sooooo good at telling a story with that one scene

The Secret Garden is one of my favorite soundtracks. Love Lilly''s Eyes.

Oh boy-I''m sooo not in the musical loop anymore. I''ve never even heard of most of these groups. (Well, Tesla and Black Crowes aside)

I''m on a Rob Thomas kick right now because I''m going to see him in concert on Tuesday night.

I am LOVING his new solo CD (Cradlesong) and have been listening to it practically on repeat for the last week. Now I can sing along at the concert!!!

Tapping the Vein - they only have one album, unfortunately, but it is amazing
Sky Cries Mary (I adore their mid '90s albums, though they released a really recent one that's pretty good- however they aren't a local Seattle band anymore

)
NIN (perpetually, from their oldest stuff on through the newest)
Collide - their White Rabbit cover is awesome, it was on the last Resident Evil soundtrack, and they have a new album out.
Rob Zombie's latest album, Educated Horses
sexwithsarah- Seattle band c.1999
Conjure One- their first album is best- it basically lives in my CD player in the house
Portishead- their latest album isn't my fave but it's still pretty good
Anything Tool
Skinny Puppy's Too Dark Park
album
Neurosis is always a favorite, especially Enemy of the Sun. Very ambient and weird.
Oh, and I've been listening to VAST a lot too, especially their Touched track.

Although I do have some, um, interesting taste in music, I promise that Tapping the Vein, VAST, Sky Cries Mary, Collide, Portishead and Conjure One are pretty user friendly and won't make your head explode.
