What I would do is go to a bridal shop and have you or a friend (so you can pay more attention) try on a few dresses with sashes and have the consultant tie them for you. Ask them to attach a broch or a flower etc. I tried on this watters dress and the consultant tied it like this and attached a broch right in the middle of the knot. It was really pretty!!! Anyway good luck

Mine is tied like that as well...no broch, and I love it!
(oh...and this pic of my dress was before the sash was sewn on...it looks perfect now)
