I''m waiting to see Jacqueline''s claws. I don''t think she''s as nice as she seems (otherwise she probably wouldn''t be on RHONJ). She''s a total pushover, though, and that drives me nuts. I missed the last part of the car scene - did her slacker daughter get the car she didn''t deserve?

Exactly. Her daughter drove me CRAZY. Constantly tilting her head to one side, the flippant attitude. My husband was watching with me and I told him that while I *KNOW* he''d never do anything like buy our drop-out child a car, if he did, it''d go straight back to the lot. End of story. ''Hide it''? Give me a break.

Dina does seem like a beeyotch, but I don''t know who Danielle thinks she''s fooling with her "I invited her to my party out of the goodness of my heart" act. I think they both want and love the drama.

Yes, Dina was totally out of line. Danielle held out an olive branch and she was down right rude. Danielle DOES seem needy (and annoying) though. She needs to dump the 26 year old. I thought Teresa and Jackie had good points and she ignored them. Teresa is SUCH a stage mom! So annoying. Poor kid. I love how she acted like the make-up was the photographer''s idea NOT her''s. Jackie is a push over for sure. She is the mother and has control. She could tell her DH to sell the car and she takes no part. Like it wasn''t her idea so she is innocent.

Wonder what the book thing was all about too. Anyone catch the title?

Anyone see last nights? I love how Danielle claimed none of it (or almost none of it) was true but refused to answer Jackie''s questions. Does anyone else think Jackie is just really insecure and codependent? I think she LOVES feeling so needed and loved. Dina also needs to get a grip. Her kid isn''t going on a spring break cruise. She is going to relatives with her dad. Though I am jealous and wish I had some relatives in Greece to visit.
 
Also what was with the stage mom''s DH paying for EVERYTHING in cash?!? Strange right?

Strange episode. Danielle is a total wreck and poor Jackie seems caught like a deer in headlights - she doesn''t know what to do.
Dina needs to chill. Paying in cash - hmm? I''ve been wondering about that too.
One thing I''m curious about is how these people are doing now that the economy has tanked?
 
Is it true next week is the last show of the season? That makes it how many episodes? 6?

Anyway, I missed the first 45 minutes of last night's episode...just saw when Teresa got her 'bubbies' (does it annoy anyone else that they always say that?!).

What did you all think? Did I miss a bunch of interesting stuff???

Bia, that was annoying. Bravo replays all their shows nonstop so you should be able to catch what you missed. I agree this seemed like a really short season. Looks like next week should be good though!
 
I know! I couldn''t believe we were already at a finale next week - what no more drama!!
 
But now they are bringing lost footage from the OC so maybe they will be back.
 
I love this show, I think these women are hilarious. I''ve never seen anything like them in real life, they''re so unabashedly tacky. I love it!

Danielle is creepy, though, and it is difficult to watch a grown woman who is so insecure and out of control. I hope she doesn''t stick around for another season.

Oh, and I can''t believe the way Jacqueline allows her daughter to speak to her. Wow.
 
Just watched it. Are they really ending it after only 6 episodes???

Dina is clearly a liar as is her sister
I came away having more respect for Danielle and Jacki is still my favorite.

Does anyone else thing Theresa''s outburst was staged or exaggerated for drama? Could that be why she made her kids leave the room or do you think she just realized she could lose her sh*t?
 
Lots of drama tonight!!

Did anyone see Danielle on The Today this morning? She said nothing was scripted and what you saw was really the way it was.
She seriously needs to skip a few Botox appointments! Her forehead is so slick!

I don''t know what to think other than it''s a huge ego fest for all involved. I feel for those kids having to hear all the foul language.

I''ve only seen one full episode and the only one that I can actually stomach is Jacqueline. I think she''s the most normal of the bunch. After her, it would have to be Danielle. I know she has some issues and that I could practically fry an egg on her forehead, but I don''t think she is as bad as they are making her out to be. I''m normally pretty good at reading people and I could tell that I was not going to like the two sisters, Dina and Caroline, at all. Dina is a total B. I could tell immediately.

Last but certaintly not least, we have Teresa. Like I said, I''ve only seen one full episode. Other than that, it was bits and pieces. I think at first she was okay, but she''s the ultimate representation of the nouveau riche. I don''t think anyone has ever explained the concept of moderation to her. She seemed to be drinking the Dina and Caroline kool-aid and that''s when I started to dislike her. I can''t stand a person that lets other people dictate their relationships with others.

I assume she flipped to table in response to Danielle? I haven''t seen the episode, so I''m just going off the previews.

Instead of being upset about Danielle bringing the book up at dinner (as she was the hostess) she was pissed about Danielle''s past. The timing didn''t match the drama/reaction in my opinion which is why I questioned whether that part was scripted (by the show or by T herself).

While Danielle''s timing with the book was completely inappropriate, I have to give her credit for how she handled herself during the discussion.

WOW! So I am uncomfortable with how Danielle talks to her kids. Here''s the thing...I do hope I will be my DD''s friend one day BUT I would NEVER try to be a friend OVER a mother. I felt it was odd she brought the book out/up in FRONT of her kids. Did she not think it would get out of control? I do think Teresa was right on for wanting her kids out but her freak out was VERY strange. Haha. I loved how her DH took her in the hall to calm her down and she was like "oh, I love you honey" and was all mushy. Total 180. I think Caroline is covering for her sister which is so stupid. WHO CARES!?! Seriously, I understand why Danielle is pissed her pass caught up with her but really...does it MATTER who showed the book? It is done. You are in the book and like Teresa said there has to be something more than her getting arrested (for being in the wrong place...yeah right) and changing her name. They are ALL lying to themselves and each other. I do like Jackie. I thought it was brave of her to stand up for her friend and good for her DH for trying to make peace.

I couldn't understand everything that Teresa was saying/yelling, but from what I could understand, she was more upset that Danielle yelled at her when she said "Haven't you been paying attention?" in a very condescending manner, which Teresa perceived as Danielle calling her stupid or not being "with it" enough to follow what was going on. That combined with probably a little too much to drink, is what caused Teresa to flip out and to flip the table! Teresa retorted with what she could -- basically that Danielle is **$#( #$#^ and a @#$#% #@$#@$(!

PennQuaker - You should make a point of watching the last episode just so you can see Teresa's house. She took Dina and her daughter on a tour of the house, and it's definitely worth a look!!

I totally agree about Danielle and her children. How inappropriate that she shares so many details of her life with her kids? How inappropriate that it seems she introduces any man she dates to her children right away? How horrible that she discussed the contents of the book with her children, one of which is 10, right? Uggh. I feel bad for those girls. I foresee years of therapy for them.

And, yes, Teresa''s 180 was really funny.

I thought the table flipping was kind of, pointless, but I do understand her getting angry because she was hosting that dinner. I still feel like Dina and Caroline came off wrose than Danielle.
 
I''m late to this thread but got sucked into this show. I''m mostly a RHONY fan, but had to at least watch this even though I felt slightly gross afterwards! This isn''t how all of NJ really is, I promise (although tacky nouveau riche certainly are around)!!

My observations: this whole "lemme tell you about my family, we are thick as thieves.." is so annoying! You can tell these folks got their money through shady measures b/c they have no class!!! What is this, the Sopranos with the family talk? Jackie is the most normal, but I was surprised she got so argumentative during the dinner..I thought she was one of those easily swayed types who fell into line. Her hubby seems the most normal too.

I agree with PQuaker on Caroline and Dina..shady and backstabbers! And Danielle ugh, but gotta admit she''s the whole show for the drama. And you can''t help but for root for her a tinsy bit since she''s the outsider. But talk about gold digger,..and I don''t GET why she was so upset about the book? IT was published!! So it''s public knowledge! And if it was all sooooo untrue, why didn''t she sue for defamation? And she certailnly is needy which is why she''s the way she is with her kids. She needs attention and when everyone else turned their back, she used her kids for the attention..pretty sickening how she was telling them about her "break up" as if it was even remotely serious.

So yea, kind of disgusted with them all, but count me in for watching the reunion show LOL!

I''m with you...I watched some of the episodes and it was pretty sad. I also thought of the Sopranos with episode 1. I have lots more to add but I don''t want to sound nasty

Oh, you are too kind! I am not sure if you saw the final episode or not, but the house is still mostly unfurnished, so maybe that improves in time, but it was really cold/austere looking with tons of glossy stone floors. It's going to take a lot of design work to make it seem comfy. She had purchased two sofas that looked huge in the store, but they almost looked like barbie dollhouse furniture inside the house!!

But, I suppose you are right, to each his own, and if she likes it ,and it makes her happy then so be it!!

Back to Danielle - - the thing about Danielle and this whole show that is so hopelessly contrived is that Danielle went on and on about how upset she was that the women in Franklin Lakes were told about her book, uhm, how about the fact that it is being broadcast on national tv. Shouldn't she have been a little more upset about that?
 
First of all, the house was awful. Truly goes to show money cannot buy everything.

Yes, it was big...but thats where the good stuff stops, IMO. It looked like a mid-priced hotel room with the green marble flooring and overload of texture. It wasn''t cohesive...I hated the high gloss flooring bumped up to the tumbled stone. I thought it could have been done so much better. Does anyone remember in like 2006 when the terra cotta color pallate was all the rage and everything was mustard yellow, and brick red, and rusty orange...well, I feel like she ran with that trend, and it post-dated her house. Esspecially that wine making room...eekkk

Danielle is an ex-hooker gone clean, bottom line. She clearly made some poor decisions in her past, but she has moved on and done pretty well for herself in her personal Act Two. But, the fact is...as much as she wants to show the "good" stuff about her life now--she has a dirty past and that is also part of who she is, as much as the big house she lives in now. I think people would have more respect for her if she would just own it, instead of being sneaky and coming off as crazy. If she had laid it out and played it straight, there would have been no scandal, crisis avoided.

Caroline...hahaha. She wishes she was "big time". "Lemme tell you''s something about my family..." She''s a housewife to a man who owns a supper club, she''s not Tony Soprano''s wife. She blows hard...but I think she is also totally lame. A poser.

Dina...where was her husband? Mortified into absence for sure. She was like "I work with celebrities..." out of the Brownstone, Dina? Has anyone ever read an US weekly or gossip mag were a big-name celeb was wed in the suburbs of New Jersey? Come on, she''s not fooling me.

Jacki...she''s, in one word, normal.
 
Did anyone see on Perezhilton today, apparently there''s a sex tape (one of many I''m sure) between that guy Steve and Danielle?

Not in my book. She''s an ex-hooker who WAS honest about what she was selling and the price it cost, but NOW wants to pretend she still isn''t selling it

Anyone catch the Reunion last night? I couldn''t stop watching! Highest rated Housewives show to date...so they are doing something right.

Now, I find it really, REALLY, hard to believe that not one of them has mafia connections. Yea, I know, even if they did, they can''t say it, but still! There also seems to be a lot of tension between these folks. Danielle looks sickly, like she''s going through some stuff. Jacqueline is about ready to pop (was it just me or did she look different? not the pregnancy related weight gain, but something else...) Teresa, well not much has changed there, other than the pregnancy. Dina, eh. Caroline, we get it, you defend your family to the end...give us something new!

Of course they cut the segment in half, and made us wait for the juicy stuff on Thursday (I will be watching btw
