Jesus, that''s heart breaking. I know that people eat animals, and over there they eat dogs and cats... But can''t they at least do things in a more humane way!?! I personally wouldn''t eat cats and dogs, as I see them as pets and intelligent animals, but many wouldn''t eat cows, so to each his own. But still... Poor animals!

I''m not going to judge, because that is not my culture, I don''t live there, and it isn''t my place to question their methods even if I disagree with them. I do have to ask, though - why did you post this here? I''m glad you shared, but why did you do it? I''m sure that all of us know about the fur trade...what if someone that comes here lives in China, and because it is part of their lives they take offense? Maybe a family member does it as a living, because the honest truth is that the world has more cats and dogs than there are people able and willing to take care of them - so they found a way to reduce those numbers..

I was sent a video on myspace last year, and it had me in tears about 4 seconds into it..I''m going to assume this is similar. Not sure if this is the same one or not b/c I don''t want to click it in case it is. If it''s skinning animals, I''ll just say my husband is a trapper, my dad did it too. The animals are not skinned alive (that was what was on the video I was sent). I can''t vouch for other countries, and if that''s how they do it there that''s disgusting and completely reprehensible. Animals shouldn''t have to suffer.

I didn''t see the video - have no interest in watching it. So I''m not sure if it''s about the fur trade, or about eating animals that we wouldn''t eat here.

I agree that it''s a different culture - so if they are OK with eating dogs, cats, etc., I cannot judge them. But if it''s about the WAY in which these animals are being killed for food, there''s a humane way, and an inhumane way.

It may still be that they''re not educated in humane ways, and so even there we cannot really "judge" - but we can have an opinion...

I had not even read what zhuzhu had SAID - "expose them for the what they are practicing." I think that was her mistake, when all she was probably trying to do is share something most of us here would find to be animal cruelty. But, I don''t think we should stop posting something just because someone might be offended - we do need to be careful how we present things though.
