It appears to me that this 'person' is perhaps buzzed, but I think it shows how people feel emboldened to be openly racist in our new Trump America.

“Goooodbyeee raaacists!”

That was the blunt — and unquestionably sarcastic — message one heated passenger delivered to a man and a woman as they were being kicked off a United Airlines flight Saturday evening for causing a disturbance that was blamed on racist comments.

The confrontation on Flight 1113 from Chicago to Houston began several minutes earlier, when a Pakistani man and woman wearing traditional clothing were boarding the plane, according to VHF affiliate KHOU.

There's no excuse for this guy's behavior, but I don't think it has to do with Trump. People have been racist (openly & privately) for years; it's only 'news' now because it grabs headlines and increases ratings & revenue for the MSM who reports on it.

But I will not mash on you for posting this like others have to Ruby for posting similar opposing occurrences and accusing her of baiting. When one side posts things like this it is a validation of their view but when the opposite is posted, its baiting. See the hypocrisy?

There's no excuse for this guy's behavior, but I don't think it has to do with Trump. People have been racist (openly & privately) for years; it's only 'news' now because it grabs headlines and increases ratings & revenue for the MSM who reports on it.

Hmm I don't think so - I have never seen behavior like this anywhere (not to brag but I've been to a LOT of places).. It should have been reported by Brietbart, Fox, Daily Caller, Washington Times, this is terrible. All these sites have posted thesDoe types of stories that immigrants and people of color that happen to whites.

It's terrible what that guy did. And to say bomb? that would be akin to yelling fire! in a movie theater (when there is not fire).. not allowed.

It's sad times I must say

Oh no worries Red.. I respect you very much. A lot of ways we are similar..

My wish is as you know, peace and harmony.. right now, it's unrest.. You know Red, while I can't abide Trump, at this point, I want him to succeed, we need to move on and have the democrats (who can't even agree how to combat Trump with a platform I read this morning btw) work to have him ousted in 2020, OR he will be re-elected. I do this believe this, because I believe in the united states, the more I have thought about the 'republic' Red that you in your posts made me aware of! (and I"m a smartie pants most of the time ) I think we need to have less federal mandates and have more laws in the states, so if you are democrat, you may find it more to your liking to live in NY or CT, and if you are conservative TX is a great place! and make your life that way... we should do this and see how it plays out. It could be good. Or it could be terrible, but I do think we need to go the distance, that is how we will learn.

No illegals say, this means - to me - either business go belly-up OR Americans take those jobs. I have learned from you and Jo, and DF ways of thinking that I had never thought of so I appreciate your comments and Jo's, and also MIssy and Deb.. It's been a great thing for me (and Red, it's always about me, ask my sons!!)

How about the incident not long ago where the white man was kidnapped, gagged, and beaten by a group of african americans saying "f*ck Donald Trump" and "f*ck white people" while recording the incident on their cell phones....You mean behavior like that? Exactly. The only reason you didn't see/hear about it before (as much) is because it wasn't something that would generate much ratings/revenue for the MSM. Because Trump is in office and generates ratings, immigration is a current issue/event, and racism has been in the news for the last couple years, makes this incident "news" because it can be tied to all three topics by those who wish to sensationalize something that otherwise wouldn't have been 'news'. I'm not saying the incident was appropriate; far from it.

Tekate: I don't work for nor own any news outlets, so I cannot say why they didn't cover it; perhaps inquire to them if it bothers you that they didn't. But I don't think it's necessarily 'newsworthy' compared to other matters.

What I meant was - I've never seen it in real life. A read about the special needs young man. Very horrible.

^I understand. I've never seen examples like that in real life either - but that was sort of my point. The media makes it seem like that's real life...all the time....but it's not (yes, it's real life, but not to the extent that the media portrays). Sure, those things happen (mean people exist), but they always have. It's just more "relevant" now and the media knows that. I prefer no tot get caught up in that.
