Thanks everyone for your kind words and prayers. Unfortunately I cannot go and be with him but I had my dad put the phone to his ear and I told him how much I love him. I had to make it quick because I broke down and I didn't want him to hear me...I'm usually the strong one but this was not expected and happened so fast.

Aw, I'm so glad you got to tell him a! I know that will comfort you in time, and I know he had to love hearing that.

I lost my absolute favorite uncle a few years back. I didn't even know anything was wrong, my aunt calls out of the blue and says he's dying. I wanted to fly down to see him, but she said he wouldn't know I was there. I still regret not getting to tell him how much he meant to me. So I am especially happy you got to tell him you loved him. {{{hugs}}}

I''m so sorry to hear about your uncle. It''s hard to lose loved ones, and particularly hard when you lose several of them in a short time. Given that you''re too far away to visit, I''d encourage you to write your uncle a letter telling him how much you love him and talk about some of your favorite moments with him and other members of his family. It can sometimes be easier to express yourself in writing and he can read it or have someone read it to him, and he can go back and reread it if he wants.

THanks everyone...I"m making a trip to see my uncle tomorrow. I just hope that I make it in time. I need to see him before he passes. The Drs said it''s any time now..his organs are shutting down one by one
