The thought of loosing my diamond... UGH

So this morning, I was getting ready for work and put my beautiful pear on... then proceeded to put on my earrings and as I was twisting my wrist to put the butterfly enclosure in the back of my ear, i hear a "tik tik"...
so I take my ring off and shook it near my ear and again "tik tik". Yup, my stone is loose in the setting! ARGH!
The horror just to think that I could lose my stone just almost gave me a panic attack! Thankfully, there is a nice jeweler near my work, I hope that if I swing by my lunch time, he can tighten the prongs for me so I can stop worrying...

So....... I think in the next few month, I''ll be looking for a bezel setting.
And the search begins

Could the jeweler tighten the setting that the stone is in now? That might be all it needs.

yeah... they did tighten the prongs... 3 of the 5 were loose... yikes!!!
She is all secured now... I shake my ring on a daily basis now to see if I''m going to hear any "tik tik"

It propably was all that fun at the laundry mat that loosened the stone!So there we go...no more fun for you while wearing your ring!

I think it could be in my near future... but with my diamond resting in its yellow shield, it might be a little more complicated to do something... I am unsure on how to proceed...

I''m glad she''s secure for now. No, I don''t think you''re sick. I check my own prongs and have my jeweler check them every year. I don''t ever want to hear that dreaded "tik tik". (I also have my prongs checked because only five of my six prongs are actually holding my diamond in place. The sixth prong was cut wrong and is kind of hanging in the air, but I have a reset in my future too

).

I''m OK, hanging in and trying to be positive. I''ve had some health issues related to family problems and the stress that causes, but I''ll be better soon. Thank you so much for asking!
