Michigan is also referred to as The Great Lake State

I was thinking about this...I haven''t heard Michigan being referred to as the Wolverine State in a LONG time...unless it''s by a U of M student/Alumni/fan, which is what I thought that was referring too untill I remembered our state animal is the wolverine. Some Michigander I am.

My license plate says The Great Lake State.
