Per Trumps lasted tweet "The real story here is why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington? Will these leaks be happening as I deal on N.Korea etc?" I thought he loved leaks????

The leak of the Flynn call information may very well be a criminal act. The leaking that is coming from the different agencies, especially intelligence agencies, is definitely a huge problem and undermines the administration based on what appears to be political ideologies. There are very specific regulations to protect identities of Americans during phone calls made with a foreigner that have been recorded or listened to by the likes of the NSA, CIA, FBI, etc.

I guess my point is that he seems to like leaks that make others look bad and let us know what is really going on behind the scenes, but doesn't like it when the shoe is on the other foot. I am not saying that I agree or disagree with people leaking this particular information. I do believe that the leaks coming out of the white house are coming for a wide variety of reasons.

I kind of wish I hadn't even started this thread because I am either simply "preaching to the choir" or banging my head against the wall. I just really don't like bullies or people who seem to have no regard for facts or the truth. This president really pushes my buttons.

I think I will just turn off NPR, close my computer and go birthday shopping for a six year old.

I kinda like a little speculation now and again, so I will here. After the Justice Dept notified White House counsel that Flynn might be subject to blackmail and no action was taken by the President, the FBI or CIA decided to force the issue. Someone leaked the info, after some solid reporting, much like Watergate. (a big leaker). I think the intelligence agencies are very concerned about this Administration. Leaking get issues the attention they deserve.

The current President would not have taken any action unless he was exposed. I expect more of the same in the future.

Red, I would think your son would be just as concerned with having this lunatic in the White House. I doubt Trump would have made any changes had it not been leaked and had the press not brought it to everyone's attention.

Under those circumstances, since (as DJT acknowledged) the White House had this information and chose not to address it, I can understand why someone who had that knowledge chose to leak it to the press.

That is of course a different question than whether the leak was legal.

Leaked information of all types has been a problem for years when you have holdovers from the last administration.

So all leaked sensitive information needs to be plugged.

Trump's calls to Australia and Mexico were also leaked to the public.
