It''s been a while since I have had time to frequent the forum. I wanted to update evryone with some Pictures of our daughter and what has been going on in our life lately. I moved to Haines Alaska back in October and have been busy working 2 jobs in order to get the girls over here from Sitka when the School year ended. Well things paid off and we just purchased our first house and things are going well for us in Haines. I have been all over SouthEast and I must say the scenery in Haines is most likely some of the best in Alaska. I will add opictures for now and will edit with comments to add when I am done. Our daughter is April on the far right. This was a night where the girls went to their first 'formal" Dance referred to as MORP? The girls were excited and looked like beautiful young women all dressed up. It was not just an eye opener for her mom and I, but it made us nervous at the same time. She is growing up into a beautiful girl...

April and I having a good time. On the right of us is the mouth of the stream that feeds the Chilkoot river. In another month or so this same area will be lined with the terrorist tourist fisherman trying to bag the bounty of silver (coho) and pink salmon which run heavily up into the mouth of the stream...

This was a gorgeous sunny day when we took out the little speed boat to some of the small hidden coves. Some of these coves have white sand and beach and many are hidden. It makes for a perfect little day gettaway...

This is April and Regina when they took a trip to the Oregon coast to visit family friends. I forget the name of the beach, but I am sure you guys recognize the rock in the back?

The Pre-Teenage years are really starting to bring some of the pre-teen attitude along with it..You have got to love the look...Ha..Ha...My parents always told me pay back would come in the form of having kids of my own some day...

April and I had a blast this day on the tube...We all were being pulled with a Boston Whaler with a 140 horse 4-Stroke Honda...It was a blast to say the least...We were going a little to fast on this run around and had to slow the boat down because April was starting to freak out...The look on her face was priceless..Especially since it took me about 30 minutes of coercing her on the shore to go out on the tube...After we got home that day April told me even though she was scarred Sh*tless she was glad she went out and had a great story to tell her classmates the following Monday...

Ok....Back to the Photo''s...Here is the Front of our house. It comes on a full acre with a nice yard. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We are really excited to have our first house in Alaska and April is already asking for a basketball hoop in the driveway.

You seem like you have such a great life there! The photos of your family are beautiful and the scenery is spectacular. I have always wanted to go on a cruise to Alaska and see the sites, Glacier Bay, etc...maybe someday! Congratulations on being so happy and seeming to have so much exaclty the way you want it to be!

Thank You Diamondfan. Alaska has been good to me and in the long run I think I have been blessed and rewarded with a great family and the beautiful things around me. It took me a while to get here though and a lot of sacrifices along the way. I hope you can come to Alaska someday and experience many of the same things Alaskans begin to take for granted after living her for a while. I notice it myself when I travel to the City..Cities are great for the hustle and bustle yuppie Types...They play an even bigger role when Regina and April like to go shopping in Seattle. Both women in my life have become experts at buying clothes and "finding the best deals" whenever we take trips..LOL...

Ok..Here is one more photo for this morning...This is a picture of s stellar sea-lion taken from a fishing boat a couple weeks ago. There is a period of about 7-10 days when the euchalon (Hooligan) run. During this period many of the sea-lions are readily viewable along with other wildlife like humpback whales and killer whales seeking out the bounty that the hooligan provide for them...

cannon beach and haystack rock!

that spot was my very first ever glimpse of the ocean. the whole oregon coast is quite beautiful but i will always remember haystack rock.
