Wedding Thank you, PS!!

I just wanted to check in one last time and sign off before the insanity begins today (parents get into town and meet for the first time, bachelorette party tonight, nail salon, rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on Friday, wedding Saturday!). Most importantly, I wanted to thank all of you who have helped me so much along the way with your advice and encouragement. PS really is such a wonderful resource, and that stems entirely from the great people who run it and the many more who populate it. I can't wait to show you pictures of yet another wedding you've helped create!

I'll be gone on my honeymoon until the end of the month (Maui, baby!!), but you can bet your boots (or killer shoes, Freke) that I'll be posting photos as soon as I'm back!

ETA: There are scattered thunderstorms in the forecast, so we could really use some PS dust to keep them at bay!

i think i mentioned to FI at least three times throughout the day how bad i felt for you

Awww, thanks for thinking of us, Mimzy! Thankfully we paid for the backup room at the gardens when we booked, and we had a lovely backdrop of floor to (high) ceiling windows looking out on one of the gardens (which were all BURSTING with flowers). People said that between the view and the white chairs set up inside, it still had that garden feel. I honestly didn''t even notice. Sure, getting in and out of the car was scary, and photos outside resulted in me getting my dress dirty along the hem and train, but I couldn''t care less. When it dried you couldn''t even seen it, really. Everyone commented on how they''d never seen a bride smiling SO MUCH from start to finish, and we absolutely had the time of our lives. I wouldn''t have changed a single thing. Not even the rain. It almost served as a great contrast to the happiness inside - like we stood out that much brighter against the dreary day. The one issue was some people missed the ceremony cuz of traffic problems and getting lost, but so be it. A few others snuck in late, but we were clueless to all of that until they told us. Whatever.

Oh, and we brought down the house. It was as misty inside as it was outside with all the tears shed during the ceremony.

I think the groom tearing up at the very first glimpse of white has that effect on people. I was ok until he started his vows. Even my brothers cried.
