Ok, please tell me about BGD! I don't want to bother Lesley until I am ready to order (which won't be for a few months) but for those of you that have purchased from them, can you help me out?

1) How do you reserve a diamond? How much do you put down? How long can you reserve it?
- I recently saw that 2 of the diamonds I was eyeing for studs were sold

Buying them right now is not an option with the holidays and the ear surgery coming up...

2) What payment methods do they take?

3) How much should I budget for the settings (studs, WG)?

4) How long does it take to get them roughly, from the time you pay?

If anyone remembers, I am getting ear surgery in January (omg so excited!) and can get my ears re-pierced 3 months or so after that, and then I have to let those heal for about 6-8 weeks, so I'm looking at having normal ears again in 6 months. I seriously am so impatient, so having to wait that long is killing me. haha.

And btw, the studs I am looking at are K in color, does anyone think they will be too yellow? I have g, i and one J stones. The OEC is the J and I don't mind the color, but I have not seen any K's.

Any other info would be appreciated too.

Just to be on the safe side, you may want to e-mail to ask what their current policies are. When I worked with WF, they would only put the diamonds on hold for 24-hours.

If I don''t get responses I might do that... I just didn''t want to bother them with so many questions!! :D

From my experience, here is what I know...Lesley is absolutely fabulous and I wouldn''t hesitate to contact her. If you can''t find what you need on their website, she will definitely let you know. I can''t say enough good things about her.

Payment methods - money wire and credit card that I know of

Settings - just for the normal "stock" martini and 4-prong in WG - $175

My earrings took about a week to get to me after I finalized my order. That was also in June, I''m not sure about during a busy time like the holidays.

As for the K color, if you have a J and don''t mind the color, I think you''d probably love a K, especially in a killer BGD cut!

Hope that helps!

Absolutely helps! Now the question is... 3 prong or 4 prongs?? lol

I was thinking that the order might take a bit longer-- a week isn''t bad at all!!! My wedding is in 11 months, so at the ABSOLUTE latest if I had to wait longer, I could. Though, I don''t think that''ll happen :D

Thanks for your help!!

Hi there!

I apologize in advance, as I don't have the answers to all your questions...

But, I can tell you with great confidence - do not hesitate to contact Lesley if you already know that you want to purchase from BGD and can't find the info you are looking for on their website. Lesley is AMAZING!
When you are on their website, I would recommend setting up a Client profile in their 'portal' this way you can keep correspondence trail going. If you send Lesley an inquiry, my guess is that she will be very helpful, as she always is!
Also, you can keep your eye on their diamond inventory while you're at it. If you are looking for something in particular, Lesley will help you out for sure. Their diamond inventory price list will give you a good start as far as budgeting goes.

As far as payment methods go - I know for sure BGD accepts wire transfer. There may be other methods as well, however, a discount is offered for wire transfer.

So exciting! Can't wait to see your beautiful new BGD earrings
