SarahLovesJS, I got the bridesmaid dresses from Ann Taylor''s Celebrations line. I definitely recommend using them. My bridesmaids had very different body types, so I basically picked the colors and a number of styles and let them choose. The return policy was fabulous - which was great because the girls purchased the dresses online. Both girls purchased a couple of sizes (one even purchased two different styles), then returned or exchanged as need be... no problems at all and great turnaround. The prices were good, especially for the quality of the dresses (lovely fabric). Can you tell I was very happy with Ann Taylor???

PalomaBlanca, yep. I live in Northern VA now but I'm originally from MD (I will always consider myself a Marylander). Anyway, in usual DC area fashion, our wedding was a bi-state occasion. Haha! Our ceremony was in MD and our reception was in NoVA.

Evelyn, at Zoe's in Lakeforest Mall (Gaithersburg, MD), did my hair. I ABSOLUTELY recommend her... she is just awesome. I went to O'Hair Salon (in The Kentands... Gaithersburg, MD) for my make-up. The girl who did my make-up was not so good. I actually had to re-do it at home (yeah that's always fun on your wedding day), but the girl who did my bridesmaids' make-up, Veronica, was wonderful; I definitely recommend her.

Let me see, what else can I give you as tips? I'm not sure if you need or even want this information but here you go, just in case. Heehee!
Dress: Macy's Bridal by Demetrios in Tysons II/Tysons Galleria... they were great.
Photography: Bella Photography... loved them, loved them, loved them (our Bella photographers were Daniel Henry: www.danielsweddings.com and Vanessa Ard: www.VanessasPhotography.com). Daniel was our lead photographer and I cannot tell you how amazing he was. The man was always in a great mood and was so easy to get in contact with.
DJ: Washington Talent Agency, we went with them because we had heard so many rave reviews about them. Unfortunately, our DJ didn't follow any of our do-not-play guidelines and was just a j-e-r-k... I won't get into further details, but I doubt he's working there any more. I don't blame Washington Talent for that... just the DJ.
BM Dresses: If you've read any of my posts, you probably know that the bridesmaid dresses came from Ann Taylor's "Celebrations" line and that we had a great experience with them.
Flowers: Karen's Florist (in Vienna, VA) because I was recommended to them... they were OK. The flowers were beautiful and the bouquets were fabulous but they got the centerpieces all wrong. What can ya do, right?
Tuxes: Men's Wearhouse - had a good experience with them... no huge slip-ups
