Well, I mailed off our catering deposit yesterday (SO glad to finally get that checked off!).
We have a tasting scheduled in August during our trip out to the Bay Area. Our rep just told me that we could select 2 appetizers, 1 salad, and 2 entrees to taste.
We''ve already developed a preliminary menu of 4 apps, stayed w/ the salad they originally picked, and selected the 2 entrees my sister tasted when she went to the initial trial for us.
My one concern is that we can only pick 2 appetizers to try, so what if the other two don''t turn out to be all that good the day of the wedding? Also, if we don''t like the one salad they''ve picked and we want to select another, we''d just have to hope that the second choice turns out to be better?
Should I ask them if we could taste all 4 appetizers that we''ve chosen and maybe include a 2nd salad option? Is it standard that at some tastings you don''t get to actually taste everything that''s on your menu?
