$2,680 for ... uhm ... trash?
Okie Dokie, then.

I'll wear them with my $7,000 designer torn $10 jeans.

Boy do I remmeber. Whenever I misdialed what a hassle to start all over again. Took a long time to make a call in those days.

I had a princess phone in the 70s and I loved that phone. It had personality and fit right in to my purple bedroom. Purple shag carpet and purple ceiling wall paper. It looked better than it sounds. At least in the 70s. I loved it. :)

We have a caller on the line....and their an idiot!

MIL, is that your real phone?
How cool!
Is it really as old as it looks?

But but but, how do you read your texts, and how do you surf the web on that?

We have these old phones in the basement left over from when I worked for AT&T. Perhaps I should start a new line of jewelry.

It is a real working phone but we have other phones in the house to do the "modern" stuff on!!! Hahaha:mrgreen2:

i used to love love love bottega veneta bags & i have had a couple over the years but their new stuff is like an insult to their customers imho. it looks more poorly made and is more expensive. i'm guessing some investor took over the brand and is trying to squeeze more profit out of it. :/

From the look on her face  :naughty:, the model seems to agree with our opinions of this 'creation' ... lol

Your own pbone !!!!!!
Like on '80's family sit coms !!!

When i was a kid phones were rented from the post office, no other option
we had the usual cream coloured rotary one
We had two
one in the kitchen and one in mum and dad's bedroom
my freind had a red one
i coveted that like her family's small colour tv (we only got colour here in 1974 and you had to go on a waiting list to buy one)

Im not into pink but i would have kittens if i saw one that colour !
I always wanted one of those pink coloured bathrooms (bath, loo and pedestal basin) we saw on tv that my mother said would age terribly - ironically our house now would so suit one !!

It sounds like my Donny and Marie 'barbie' dolls would have been right at home !42013049701c35301a1d3c2c9150154e.jpg

Where the 'plastic one of this 'vintage' just plastic or where they still bakalite like the old ones ?
Bakalite jewlery is a lot more intetesting and fun and was an awful lot cheaper than this ultra modern tripe

Oh and @missy we only had 5 digit phone numbers until i was in high school

My mom was a Chatty Cathy haha so to be fair she got a second phone line just for my sister and me. I still remember my phone number. This of course was decades before mobile phones. We certainly wouldn’t have needed a second land line had mobile phones existed at that time. :)

04 (that area code doesn't even exist any more - not that i could have adfirded toll calls on my $1.50 p/w pocket money)
523-22
then we all got an extra 5
5523-22
then when i was at work all the south island got the same area code (03) and in Dunedin - possibly all of otago - we got an extra 4
4552-322

At our holiday home we didn't have a phone because my dad had quite a stressful job and he needed weekends with us
We occasionally used our neighbour's pbone.
It was so funny because being out in the country she seemed to us to have a huge long number with her area code being 3 didgets

This was in the era where party lines still existed in some places because some exchanges were maxed out

simpler times
