I''m engaged! (I can''t believe it''s been over a week already)
We were in NY last weekend for the US Open -- I am obsessed with tennis, and it''s my fave tournament + the first time I''ve ever been.
We were there allll day, but cut to a little before 10 pm and the start of the second evening match, BF wants to go for a walk around the stadium to check out the views (we were in the nosebleeds, so we had a full view of the grounds). I wasn''t feeling it at first, but he reminded me that I''d be sad if I didn''t get all the pictures I could from the evening so I should just go. I thought to myself "good point" and off we went.
We made our way around to this amazing view of the grounds... tons of people walking around below... lights, fountains, the huge national tennis center globe-- picturesque... so naturally I start snapping pics Then there''s some goodness whispered in my ear about how awesome the day is going, what a good idea it was to go, and asking if I was having a great time. I agreed that it was an amazing day, and he says something about making it even better (I''m thinking, "yeah-- doubtful") and then out comes the ring! I think I''m still in shock.
I don''t remember much after that (I never understood how that happens, until now). I did remember to say yes though, so I''m happy about that
