I am going to look like a git I am sure, but here goes anyway

When a photog package says for example, 5 hours coverage, does that mean including the time in between taking the pics after the ceremony and starting the reception ie. down time for the photog, travel between taking the boys getting ready shots to the girls getting ready shots. Or does that mean I am on the clock from the minute I arrive and 5 hours later I''m outta here, even if that falls during a time that I would like them to be there. ie start of reception to get the venue pics, fake cake cutting etc, or real cake cutting for that matter!

What is the standard?

I don''t know if prices vary in Australia, but I am looking around the $2700-3000 mark for 5-6 hours coverage, all or a lot of pics in a proof album (printed 5x7) , all pics on 2 copies of DVD disk, and a deluxe magazine style album, 12 pages (24 sides) - it''s also called a digital album, where the whole page in like a photo, and you can add stuff like writing and do other funky stuff, you can do more than one pic on a page etc, and put writing and other digital stuff on each page. OMG am I even making sense?!?! Why is this so hard!! Does this sound reasonable?

What things do I need to look out for when picking a photog? I am looking at their websites and trying to look at ones that have the sort of relaxed casual fun pics I am looking for.

Honey I don''t know if you came across this website but it may help a)finding a photolog and b) scopping out prices it is an Australian wedding webbie and there is a forum attached (not as good as PS though) but it lists Aussie resources. Thought it might help :)

The time that the photog. is contracted for begins when they arrive and continues to run through the time they leave. So if they begin at 3:00 and you have them for 5 hours, they would expect to be done at 8:00, regardless of if the reception was over yet. If you have a large gap between your ceremony and reception and you won''t be taking pictures during much of that gap, you could ask the photog. to not include that time, but I''m guessing that''s when you would actually want them taking pics. I also negotiated with my photog. to get unlimited coverage on the day of by giving up something else.

Thanks for that Sabine. I am totally stressing about the pics, I am so cool about the rest of the wedding (which is 12 months away mind you) but I really don''t want to screw up the one thing that we will get out of this day (well, besides a spouse, but you know what I mean). Why am I stressing so much ?!?!

I was having a minor meltdown about this last night and I turn around to see DF with a teatowel on his head, thundering around the kitchen and making monster noises yelling - watchout downtown Cairns, it''s Bridezilla coming!! I had to laugh, he looked ridiculous and my puppies thought it was amazingly fun. Just have to remember to breathe!!!!!!

He better have it on my hand before I get back otherwise all the LIW will get the proposal to myself story, I give him till the second last day or else but I have a strong (well I am 99% certain) he will propose in Europe unless he does it in NY??? who knows. Far out brussel sprout I really hope the ring is ready on time he will be emailing Leon tonight to check progress (the zeness has gone ringzilla is back

).

We will be gone for 7wks and are due back late October so most likely no PS for 7.5wks
32.gif
, we will have our laptop with us so I might be able to check in (and hopefully post my engagement story) but considering the timeline (12 countries in 7wks) we are on for our trip I don''t know if we will get time.

I picked up our tickets today it is seriously getting realier (that is so not a word) by the minute, I can''t believe it.

Did you get a chance to check out that website yet?

I am just so excited for you!!! I feel like you are one of my ''close PS friends'', and I am crossing my fingers for you. It''s funny how we feel like we are friends with people we have never even met, yet feel like you know so much about them.

Where abouts do you live again?

I have just checked out that site, it''s pretty awesome! Thanks for that!! I have saved it under my bookmarks page for reference.

Awww shanks sweetie :), it will be here before I know it, I have been scoping out FF''s email to see if anything has arrived - I am not allowed to read them but I am allowed to see if something comes.

I know it is so strange how you can connect with people you have never met. I feel the same way about you, like when you posted your engagement story I was seriously so happy and excited I had to tell FF all about it I was grinning like a kid in a candy store from the happiness and joy I felt.

I found that site quite helpful I stumbled across it by sheer accident as much as I love PS a lot of the information is more biased to the US market (which makes sense) so in that regard it is fairly helpful as it is more local - they don''t have the same vibe as here but it is good to scope out the info. Handy hint BM dresses from what friends have told me are cheaper to import from the US then buy them here :D I think the same might apply to wedding dresses as well.

I live in Brissie - the sunshine state :D.
