Wow -- it made me tear up. I''m glad the dog''s okay. What kind of dog is it, by the way?
Looks like a maltese shi-tzu cross or something of that nature. What amazing pics! My goodness I''d be a basket case if that was one of my babies!!

Sweet story.

Thanks Andi! I was thinking it was a maltese but I wasn''t quite sure.

I Googled this and discovered it happened on Brighton Pier in Melbourne. The young man is a part-time model who was on the bridge with his family to scatter his grandmother's ashes, when the dog got blown off the pier by a gust of wind. Apparently there were gale force winds that day! Poor doggy!

Here's one link to the story:

ETA- I give up, it shows the hyperlink in preview but not when I submit! Here's the plain text:

ETA-again-and now there's a hyperlink? Delster confused!

Thanks Delster.
It looks very windy.

WOW! Just the boost I needed! What a great story!

Wow....I''m so glad the little dog was okay. Poor thing. It''s nice to know there are still good people in this world.

By the way, how are Kizzy and Yaya? Hope all is well with your little family.

We love them so much.

Your girls are adorable!

I''m so glad this story had a happy ending. Nice dogs, Kenny -- I love their expressions!

Very frightening; I''m so glad there was a happy ending!

What a sweet story!!!

This brought tears to my eyes...between the woman, the dog fighting for his life and of course the brave young man...truly, humanity at its best.

Love it!
