Spoiled by Internet, So impatient, haha

So I recently (as in yesterday), wrote a vendor about an item they had for sale, and it hasn''t even been 24hours yet and I''m already wondering what''s taking them so long, haha. I am so used to being connected to my email at all times (the blackberry is always with me), that sometimes I forget that not everyone replies to emails within 10 minutes like I tend to do...

What is the average time it takes you to return an email? (Assuming you don''t have to prepare a complicated response/presentation for it. And assuming you''re awake of course, even I don''t wake up to answer my emails, lol) I''m just curious. Mine is about 10 minutes on average, 90% of the time I answer within 2 minutes, I know, it''s bad..

MTG, Ha, I am like you. If I am online the average time for me is 1 - 2 minutes or less.

I am totally guilty of this. Its terrible. Part of my job is responding to emails quickly, and there is no one out there more suited for it! I seriously am ALWAYS on my email. With my iPhone, its really bad. Drives my DH nuts! There is no part of me that wants to be "disconnected". I always like vendors much more if they are quick responders, which I know is not necessarily fair.

I just think it''s funny because ALL day, every time I got an email, I was all excited that it might be the vendor. And I was sitting here thinking "What''s going on? Did it sell already? Did they not get my email? Darn, they must have sold it already or decided not to sell.." and working myself up..

..and them I realize that it hasn''t even been 24 hours, and I''m just a nut case.

I respond quickly as a rule. I have a blackberry too so I get my messages wherever I am.

MTG. I can see where you want a fast reply, especially when you are excited about something. I would be too. I would be soooooooooooooooooo impatient. ha ha ha.

I just LOVE email. Its so weird, I know.

I emailed a non-PS but often-mentioned vendor a month or two ago...still no answer! I decided to go a different direction on the project, and I was not disappointed or mad at them at all...just amazed!

emails I return quickly... like within minutes... phone calls on the other hand can be days before I return... because I honestly never check my phone!

Haha, I''m the same way! I always tell people that more often than not, my phone is on silent/vibrate, and I will most likely miss their call, and I''m not a regular voice mail checker.

All my friends now know better, they email instead of calling, even if it''s to ask me what I''m doing for lunch, they know they''ll get a more reliable response this way, haha.
