Somalia & Pirates - what works & issues

Many of you will have heard that an Italian Cruise Ship had hired an Israeli security firm to supply armed guards for their ship.... and how they successfully fought off a pirate attack (I'm betting that the passangers are very happy to hear that these people are on board).

They had to let them get way to close for them to be effective.

Yep, I''m thinking heat seaking missles, laws rockets and torpedos. Pistols are fine for finishing off anyone that''s still floating on debris.

What works? Being really, really nasty to the bad guys. Absolutely not negotiating on any level, for any reason. Shooting to kill. And never missing a target. I guarantee it''ll work.
