Social Workers Needed to Help Hurricane Victims!

If you belong to NASW (the National Association of Social Workers) and have provided NASW with an e-mail address, you have already been alerted to this by e-mail. If you have not, please be aware that there is now an NASW website set up to help recruit volunteers for various jobs in the areas hit by Hurricane Katrina and in Texas (specifically at the Astrodome in Houston). At the present time, you must be able to relocate for a minimum of two weeks under hardship conditions. (I cannot do this since I have a young child.)

In the future there may be postings about opportunities to help victims in your own geographical area. Right now there is a desperate need for those who can be flexible and go where needed.
