Wow, ten pounds! Way to go Kenny

Keep up the good work

I have lost 25 pounds in the past by cutting off sugar and all kinds of sweets, sodas and fried food (which unfortunately is very popular in Greece). I continued eating whole wheat bread (three thin slices per day, one per meal, and i sometimes replaced it in the morning with a small portion of bran cereal with milk), grilled meat (veal, lamb, chicken) and fish, boiled eggs and all kinds of vegetables (raw or cooked in the casserole with three spoonfulls of olive oil and tomato), fresh fruit, 1% milk (you need just a little fat in the milk or else you lose many important milk vitamins which are dissolved in it) and feta cheese (only once per day and just a very small piece). I was eating small portions and a big part of every meal consisted of salads and vegetables. I never skipped a meal. In between the three meals i`d have an apple or some other fruit (no grapes or bananas). I only had two small glasses of white wine per week (

) and that only after i had successfully completed four weeks of dieting and my metabolism had started working very well (huge sacrifice for me to cut down on the wine..). Until today i`m drinking fifteen glasses of water per day and it really flushes away the melted fat and all the toxins from the body... I try to move a little coz i totally hate working out

So i`m mostly walking or going up the metro stairs instead of taking the escalator... I am now 36 years old, my height is a little over 5.6 (1.71 cm) and my weight is 59 kilos (130 pounds). My perfect weight is 57 kilos but i have been fighting with those stupid 2 kilos for more than a year now and so far no luck

Girl, I saw your wedding pictures and you looked absolutely stunning, head to toe!
Oh, my...Thank you so much Lilyfoot

You''re sooo kind

A girl is always happy when they tell her that she looks great

Wow Naty, you''re like my body double, except 171cm is not a little over 5''6, you''re a solid 5''7.5"! I''m 170cm, and my ideal weight is around 58Kg (127lbs), but since I''ve had my 2 kids I''m always hovering in the low 130''s (between 60-62kg). But I''m not trying too hard because people tell me that for a "mom" I should be happy with my figure. My highest weight was around 165lbs after college, and a crash diet with swimming 7 days a week made me lose 40lbs in abut 2 months. It was very unhealthy though.

I have dropped 8lbs in the last two weeks. I have stopped eating chocolate and puddings. I am also only eating at mealtimes. I am assuming the weight loss will slow down though. I am very overweight and I think it drops in big chunks then levels out.

Congrats Kenny!

I''ve lost weight to and my "secret" was not eating while on the computer. Before I would stuff food into my mouth w/out keeping track, but now if I''m on the computer, I''ll drink diet coke or water.

Hey Jasonsmom
35.gif

Thank you for correcting me on the height issue
4.gif
I live in Greece and here we only use meters and centimeters for height and kilos for weight! I''m not at all familiar with pounds and feet
5.gif
I know what you mean about people telling you that "for a mom" you should be happy with your figure
1.gif
I have a nine year old daughter and everybody keeps telling me that exact thing, whenever i say that i''ll pass on this sweet or that soda, etc... They wonder why am i being so careful with my diet all the time given the fact that i am a 36 year old mom
32.gif
... Personally, i think that especially when we become moms, we should be extra careful with our weight... Being thin and pretty according to your own personal standards has nothing to do with your age or how many children you''ve given birth to...And many congrats Jasonmom for maintaining such a great weight after giving birth to two childern...I know that it''s not easy but it''s worth it

Naty, I didn''t realize we were the same height (5''7). Now I''m green with envy

I think I''m going to implement some small diet changes for myself as well!

Wow are we all doing this at the same time? I cut refined suger, refined carbs, dairy and red meat. In two weeks just 3 pounds, but I haven't been restricting myself, I eat as much as I need. Today happens to be a bad day and I just had a milky way as comfort. You all motivating me to get back on track! (altho why i didnt read this 5 minutes ago before the milky way ....... )

My mood improved as well, took a bit over a week maybe.

There's a great book out there that really got me started, Anticancer, by David Servan-Schreiber. I don't have cancer, but it's really all about food and how you can help to prevent cancer and just be healthier generally. Kicking refined sugar is a BIG one.
