Hello everyone!
I almost can''t believe it''s so close. Six more days...and it''ll all be over!
Things are pretty much in order, as far as I can tell. Wednesday night is my final appointment at the venue, where I drop off all the reception set-up stuff. I have Thursday and Friday off, when I''ll be driving back and forth all over Massachusetts (it seems). Picking up the marriage license, getting my nails done, getting the dress, etc. etc.
I only have a few little loose ends to tie up as far as DIY projects and small last-minute purchases, and I''m pretty much good to go.
Today, Allison D. took me to the Nashoba Valley Winery to pick out some lovely wines for the gift baskets I''m giving away to our hotel guess. We shopped for the rest of the goodies in them afterward, and lemmie tell ya...without Allison''s BRILLIANT ideas, these gifts wouldn''t have been so great.
The DJ has his music, the guitarist is paid, the limo company is paid, florist is paid, the venue will be paid on Wednesday evening at the final appointment. The DJ and the JP are getting checks on the day of.
My dress.......fits. I''ve tried it on once where it was tight, and once where it was loose...so I guess it depends on how bloated I am that day. Either way I''ll at least be able to get into it. Finally. I don''t even want to get into THAT fiasco. I never even started a thread on it because I was already so sick of thinking about this darned dress.
My MOH is bringing my veil to me on Friday, her mother made it and hand-beaded it for me. I haven''t seen it yet, but I''m sure (I hope) I''ll love it.
My hair stylist ROCKS. The trial was an excellent success, and I cannot wait to have my hair done again. Probably my favorite part of the whole look.
This week I have to get a hold of the closest family members to let them know they have to go to the picture room right after the ceremony, rather than the tent. Something that would have made a rehearsal dinner useful...except not one person in either of our families was willing to host one, nor willing to attend one at my house, so that made it a bit harder on me.
And last...CERTAINLY NOT LEAST....this week I will be PRAYING for good weather. Not a hurricane. Good Lord, after this morning''s weather report I''m starting to wonder why we didn''t just go with an October wedding!
So....fairy dust PLEASE....for sunshine on September 6th!
