... the width band is thinner than the width of the e-ring.

After posting in BWW asking for opinions on wedding bands, I've started questioning my initial thought of preferring a band that's thinner than the e-ring. I'd like to see some on somebody else's finger. So, PSers, please show me your sets!

I have a split shank, so my wedding band is about the width of one of the shanks...

Thanks for explaining AN.

My wedding band is 2.5 mm, my e-ring is 6 mm. I have several threads on my wedding set but my AV shows what it looks like.

Wow, I completely missed that. Thanks for the pic, Tacori. It's exactly what I was looking for.

No problem. I am lazy so I rarely post photos but there are lots of pics of my wedding set floating around here somewhere. Let me know if you have any questions. I personally like the look.

Until recently mine were subtly different - my ering was about 3.5mm and my wband was 3mm. It was slight, but it made things look a little off to me (mostly it made my ering look bulky). The jewelry store took some metal off the edge of the ering and now they are almost a perfect match - I definitely prefer it this way. I'm not sure if you can even tell in pics (I have some threads around here somewhere, but no pics on my work computer that I can post right now)

However, I also like the look of a wband that is much thinner than the ering. I think the trick is to have them different enough in size that it look intentional. My set looked off because it seemed like they should be the same width, but weren't. I also tried on very thin bands with my ering and loved the look.

My ering shank is 3mm where it meets the side stone and tapers to 2.5mm at the last stone in the shank
The wband is 1.5mm
