Not suspended - his comments were unnecessary and overblown, but it sounds like she took them in good spiritso why not just let it die , instead of fueling the flames and making sure everyone wants to know all the juicy details?

As for the outfit itself, I actually do think it was somewhat inappropriate - though I must say she looks fantastic. We should all be able to wear exactly what we want without being judged, but this is real life, and she chose to wear knee-highs and a mini... she must''ve known some people would take issue with, strictly fair or not.

If we just let things die all the time, we''d never get anywhere. It really bothers me that people think that by ignoring and burying an issue we''ll solve more problems. Would you (the general you, not particular to Yssie - just used your post to fuel the discussion) feel comfortable if someone made comments like that about you on national television and the network took a back seat? How about your husband or FI, would he be okay with it?

Hannah is smokin' for her age! The outfit choice isn't my favorite, but she is a classy gorgeous woman...and great at her job.

I've always noticed that the people who are so severely critical of others' looks are usually in dire need of a mirror themselves.

At least Tony acknowledges his mistake in a gracious way by means of self deprecating humor. I'll never forget watching the Oscars with a group of colleagues from work and one woman gasped when Susan Sarandon walked down the red carpet. She just exclaimed, "Oh my God, she's gotten so haggard and fat!!!" Ummm... no, she looked fabulous. And when all eyes swung over to the harsh critic, she blushed immediately. I think unusually harsh judgment of others has to do with insecurity sometimes.

She''s a sportcaster, not a Federal Judge. She''s allowed to be "edgy" in her clothing decisions. They want her to appeal to men-the primary sportswatchers.

I agree with the suspension.

By the way, she does not look like a sausage.

My husband listens to a lot of Tony K., and he basically defended him by saying that''s how he treats everybody - its part of the show!
20.gif
Why does that make it OK? Its not special treatment, just how he treats everybody?

Tony K needs to look in his own mirror.

And he was out of line. Suspension deserved IMO.

Ok, first of all, this guy is out of his mind. In terms of appropriateness, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this outfit, and I''m one of the biggest prudes on the planet. Her skirt is too short??? It''s a few inches above her knees. No cleavage (which is very unusual these days...I told you I was a prude) and no way does her sweater make her look like a sausage...she''s just thin, the sweater isn''t tight at all. I really don''t know what he''s talking about. And I think he deserved the suspension, how dare he bad-mouth her on the air like that? Talk about unprofessional, his comments are way more unprofessional than her outfit.

I read the article before I saw her outfit...honestly, from his comments I was expecting something really trampy. She looks great, and if I had her figure I''d be wearing outfits like this too.

Ditto! Her outfit''s not my style but there''s nothing inappropriate about it. Especially considering she''s a TV personality.

Her outfit makes me think of Sandra Bullock in All About Steve.

HAHAHA You''re right! It''s totally the boots. BTW, who even wears knee-high RED boots (well while not on a stage with a pole?)

H_H,

Scroll up to my post on this thread where i say my best friend of 35 years has red suede boots - that i bought her.

Then take yourself over to the ''foot in mouth comments'' thread!

my bad

All I know is, her outfit is not half as bad as some of the suits and ties I see the men wearing. Sometimes I have to wonder if they blindly pull ties off the racks.

Suspended? No. Written up, warned and made to apologize? Absolutely

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

the woman is wearing a sweater, a skirt, and boots - SO WHAT?? her sweater looks fitted to me, not tight; it''s not like she''s showing *any* cleavage or busting out of the front! and she''s showing her KNEES - wow! let''s roll out every sexist stereotypical comment we can! because - god knows! - women over 40 are not supposed to be fashionable or - god forbid - sexually attractive!

my best friend is 51. she''s 5''8''. she has legs from here to next week and lovely knees. she wears skirts which show off her knees and it looks GREAT. i know for a FACT that she has red suede boots- because i bought them for her! and - horrors! - she wears them to work!

get real folks - there is altogether TOO MUCH judgment that goes on by men as regards women - and the sad part is that sometimes we, as women, pick up the tendency and criticize each other, too.

kornheiser is now off my viewing list.

I am totally with Whitby on this one - unacceptable!

100% agree

I don''t agree with the suspension. I think TK''s comments were out of line but I do not think they warranted a suspension. Her outfit, on the other hand, should be suspended! I thought it was hideous. Her stylist should be fired, imo...SO and I make our own comments about her wardrobe every time we watch her. It has nothing to do with her age or gender, she just typically looks ridiculous. (The red boots were hot, though.)

I understand all of you have an opinion about her outfit, which you are allowed to have, but you are not sitting here telling the nation. Especially when it''s rude and making fun of her age and looks. WHO CARES what anyone else wears anyway?

Her outfit is doing nothing to us.

Um, her outfit is doing something to ME--it''s killing my eyes!!! And, I do care what people wear. So do a lot of other people. I don''t understand what the big deal is about TK''s comments. Simon Cowell is constantly made fun of, publicly, for his wardrobe of t-shirts and jeans and his haircut. He isn''t crying about it or calling for Ryan Seacrest''s suspension.

That''s comparing apples to oranges. Sports to music... no comparison in my opinion.

What Bliss said! I don't know what I was expecting when I cut and paste the link, but it wasn't THAT outfit. Sausage casings? Huh? I don't get it. I think he should have been suspended for sheer stupidity. His comments, however offensive, are sexual harassment, but they are could be interpreted as somewhat sexist. The guy seems like he'd make snide comments about a guy too, but probably not about balding.

Her outfit wasn't even that bad. Sure it could have been classier, but it sure didn't warrant his rant. The guy is a tool. I'll take those red boots off her hands...and I'm almost 50. Holla!
