Congratulations! What a beautiful baby! I''m so happy for you, Auntie Heather! Ya can''t have enough Heathers!

Oh, and your story about your mom needing 72 stitches? Seriously, I never thought there was enough room in...ahem...*that area* for 72 stitches. However, I guess if a woman can pass a human head through there....I don''t need to continue that thought.

*Crossing fingers I''ll get my own C-section. If I''m a-gonna get 72 stitches, I''d rather have them in an area with enough square footage for it*

Oh, Monnie! I just saw the pic this AM. How precious and adorable!! I love those cheeks! She''s all rosebud pink all over.

I think some babies have no chance in coming out the door they came in. Sometimes they prefer a window. I understand the disappointment for not doing it the "right" way, I felt the same way. But, the product is the same, a beautiful healthy baby!

Jas~ I think you''re right when you talk about the square footage!!!

Auntie Heather! Your niece is sooooooooooo cute! Absolutely adorable.

Oh she is such a cutie! I can''t wait to see more photos. Congrats again Monnie! I hope your SIL recovers quickly!

AGBF, my daughter didn''t have a squished face at ALL and her head was so round (she came the old fashion way) so I think it is a case by case basis.

Yay! New pics:

So precious! I can''t believe they gave her a pacifier at the hospital. Our hospital had a policy against them

Awwww she''s so precious Auntie Monnie. Just want to squeeze her. Have fun with baby Heather, I know you two will have a very special bond. How fun!!!

Tacori, the hospital in which she was born is a small, local one in a small town in southern IN...I think they are a BIT behind the times, so I''m not suprised they popped a pacifier in her mouth right away. I''ve read a bit about the pacifier controversy, but don''t know too much about it. I''m sure it''s been mentioned on the preg. thread but I must''ve skipped past that discussion because I don''t remember what has been said. Feel free to enlighten me here, lol!

Thanks Lisa! She certainly is a cutie and I am so dying to squeeze her too! It is soooo strange how much she looks like me when I was born. I wish I had my baby pics to scan and share here so you guys could see the uncanny resemblence...it is just too weird. Baby Heather and I definitely will have a special bond...I''m totally in love with her already and haven''t even held her!

Wow, you have the family name tradition, I love it.

She looks like a cutie pie. They will love having you come for a visit I am sure! Hold her lots and let the mommy rest and you will bond and always be welcomed! (not that you would not be anyway...but a new mom sure can appreciate the chance to rest!)

Awww congratulations on becoming an Auntie Baby Heather is just beautiful and precious for words and look at all that hair and the tiny little toes and fingers.

As another auntie there is something so special about holding them for the first time, it is almost overwhelming how much you can love something that is so little.

Congrats :) Auntie Heather :) I think it is so cute you, baby and mummy all have the same name :)

Wishing you all the best :).

Mon, the lactation gurus are against them b/c they can cause nipple confusion. You aren''t suppose to introduce a bottle or paci for the first 3-4 weeks if you are breast feeding. That being said Tessa had a bottle at around a week old and her first paci experience at 5 days (the day after we left the hospital
3.gif
) I think they are great and really sooth babies (and parents!). Also studies have shown a decrease in SIDS when you put your baby to sleep with a paci. So I am for them. Maybe not on 3 year olds but babies, yes.

You are going to have SOOOO much fun with her! I want to be an aunt *whine* Are you still working at the jewelery store? Are you still thinking of getting Heather her birthstone? Make sure you update us with any new photos and any news *ahem* you might have soon.

Awww, Monnie, she is soooo sweet and a real cutie!

Tacori, I think maybe because feedings were going so well from the first time that is why they went ahead with a paci...not really sure though. I do think that if baby hadn''t latched on right away that maybe they wouldn''t have given her one that soon.

I have been talking on the WWT lately that both I and my husband lost our jobs recently...we''re having a rough time of it right now but we will get through it and move on to bigger and better things. My former employer (jewelry store) said he couldn''t afford to have a second full timer anymore, so he let me go, unfortunately...I loved that job! At least I was able to gain some more experience in the industry so that''s a good thing. As for buying Heather her birthstone...money is tight right now, so I will be putting off that purchase until we are more financially stable again, but I do fully intend to follow through on that. I really want to pass on my love of jewels to this baby!

Oh I am so sorry to hear about your and your husband''s job loss! I hope you both find your dream jobs soon!

Thank you, Tacori.

And thanks to everyone else who has responded to this thread and been so sweet about my excitement over this baby. I'm so glad technology makes it easy for me to share her with you all!

Aw, hey Mon, I am so sorry to hear that you and your DH got laid off. I don''t even lurk on the WWT anymore because I''m just getting fatter while everyone gets more fit! Not that I''m JEALOUS or anything....

She is very precious and already has the best gift you can give her...the joy of an awesome and loving aunt. Enjoy her to the fullest and have faith that everything happens for a reason...things will get better for you and your DH!

MONNIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just saw this. She's just so beautiful! I love the name Heather. LOL at the filling out the birth certificate story!

Oh, I'm so happy for you! I know how excited and concerned you've been. ((HUGE HUGS))!!

Not much! But seriously, it''s been heartwarming to do this journey with you and see how excited you were/are at becoming an aunt. I''m not even that excited about becoming a mom! That''s one very lucky little baby girl!

TGal, my SIL reminds me a lot of you in some ways, especially re. excitement over becoming a mother. And my parents will be grandparents for the first time as well, and neither of them have been as excited as me...maybe I''m just nuts and overemotional (wouldn''t be a first for me, ha). OTOH, at 30 and having been married for over 4 years now, I still don''t have baby fever myself, even after all this excitement over my bro''s first baby! Very weird how things work sometimes.

Yeah, I can understand that. I was more excited over my friend''s pregnancy than I am of my own. I think it''s because there''s apparently a "no refunds" policy on TTot?

I never had baby fever. You may not have it until you find out you''re pregnant...or when it finally comes into this world. Who knows. It''s just all so overwhelming sometimes, but sometimes in the stillness of a room where I can take a deep breath, I do find all of it amazing and thrilling.

Can't. You're preggers. Gotta think of T-Tot!

I think it's the wedding thing. And the ring re-set thing. All these things I've been dreaming and thinking about are finally happening. And I'm feeling ... happy. And when other's have good things for them, especially when they are people I care about like MsS and Monnie... I get happier.

Some of it also that I'm scared to death of mom's impending 3rd surgery next month, and I'm ... hoarding positive energy. If that makes sense. Focusing on good things, trying to stay positive.

Anyway. Enough thread jacking. I'll share happy pills with you once T-Tot is out and about. Till then, I've only got chocolate for you.

I'm glad we're making you smile Monnie.

I''m happy for you Gypsy. I''ve been following your story, but I don''t always post (since I have nothing really that helpful to say). Saw that John picked his w-band...awesome!

Keep that positive energy flowing...I find positive begets positive!!

I''m betting huge money that you are right.

Thanks for keeping an eye on my planning, hope it''s keeping you entertained. John hasn''t provided anywhere near the level as entertainment as T-Guy. Whether that''s a good thing or a bad thing, I''m not commenting on. Although two days ago he added 4 names to he guest list. When I asked him why it just occurred to him that he needed to invite these people he said, "It didn''t just occur to me. I''ve planned on inviting them all along. Its just that you said you had to order more invites than we need to cover just the list, so I thought you knew there were people we needed to invite that weren''t on the list"... No honey, I''m ordering extra in case of MISTAKES. So I don''t find myself short. Not because I magically know there are people you want to invite that you HAVE NEVER MENTIONED INVITING.

I like your insights though. So even if all you have to add is a snarky or cynical comment cause your feeling grumpy and preggers. No worries. I love hearing from you. I can''t imagine being pregnant. It just seems so consuming and overwelming and huge to me. I admire how brave all mothers are. I don''t know if I''ll ever be that brave. Take care of yourself and T-Tot.

I''m all for positivity, you guys all know me well enough by now that it is obvious. I''m very glad to be able to express that positivity here and that people like you are receptive and appreciative.

Gypsy/Layla, I am of course still following what''s going on with your mom, and thinking good thoughts about her upcoming surgeries, your wedding, everything.

And TGal, I couldn''t be thinking more positively for you and Ttot''s upcoming birth. It''s been fun/enlightening/amusing/sorta thrilling reading about your pregnancy and seeing you get all maternal-ish here...amazing how you can care so much about people you''ve never even met IRL and worry about them and what''s going on in their lives.

Isn''t it though? I think I was more excited about MsS ring than I was over my own re-set. LOL. I think I busted something I was so happy for her.

My thoughts and prayers for you and Mr.Monnie and your job situtations in the coming months. Is there anything I can do? Seriously? If there is, I''d love to.

Aw, nothing like the birth of a child to get people all gooey and happy!

LOL on John wanting to invite more people. Trust me, there''s more doofiness to come.

Monnie, again thanks! I really love the preggo thread...just such a great vibe and one where I don''t mind the sweetness. I even let myself go and be sweet there too...so not me! Hehehe. But yeah, there are a few people here and there on PS that I really get excited for and hope for them all the best.
