They're likely sharing it for 2 reasons - rarity, and more specifically, greed. I think the Mother thinks she'll have some kind of noteriety like the Octo-Mom, and that always translates to $ in some way.

People that just CRAVE attention even negative attention are just really sad. The fact that she has "an affair" I don''t know that I would call it that considering they were engaged to be married... and not actually married. I tend to use that word only when the partnership has been sealed in the form of marriage... I''d say she cheated on her fiancee. Also, I think it is WRONG to deny the rights of the biological father of the other twin. A child has the right to know his father, whether or not just a sperm donor. I think I''d ask that he sign off the rights and the other dad legally adopt the child if he truly wants it to be raised as his own. But then it could always be, she could have been involved in something more scandalous, and possibly has no idea who the other father is... and doesn''t want to be like another poster suggested, on Maury with 12 guys trying to find out which one is the father, only to be told it was none of them.....
 
I agree that the other father should know. How is she going to keep it a secret when she just went public with everything? You would think whoever she slept with would recognize her on TV and possibly realize that he might be a father? Unless, like tlh says, she doesn''t really know who the other father is?

This is exactly what I was thinking. She says she''s not going to tell the other father, but wouldn''t he figure it out when he sees her on tv?
 
If he hasn''t figured it out already by watching TV, then I''m sure she''ll inform him that he is the father after the current guy bails, if only to get some child support out of it.
People are classy that way.

I liked the last line stating she had no plans to tell the biological (other) father. I wonder how many guys are going to show up on her doorstep asking if it''s his? LOL!
 
How are those kids going to feel, when she tells them "once they're old enough to understand?" That not only is their father not father to BOTH of them, that they, as twins, are only half-siblings? I think she should wait until they're much older than "old enough to understand"... it should be "old enough to deal with the emotional implications of this knowledge"

I mean, of course they'll need to know at some point - if only to avoid finding out accidentally in some kind of medical situation or something - but wow. Can you imagine how that would feel?

And I assume they know which one is which... how is that going to affect the father's (and possibly the mother's) treatment of the child not biologically related to him? In an ideal world, it would not have an affect, but something tells me these are not ideal parents we're working with here... but who knows... I suppose anyone can have an affair......
 
I can''t imagine how that little boy will feel one day knowing that everyone knows he has a different father from his TWIN brother. I don''t understand why these people would want to publicize this.

Who says daddy #2 knew he was having an affair with a woman involved with someone else? Maybe he didn''t know. Most cheaters don''t announce they are married or otherwise committed.

Anyway, I agree that daddy #2 has a right to know he fathered a child.

This story is just SO wrong on so many levels!!!
 
So she cheated on her fiance. With another man. And didn't use protection... or even birthcontrol. So she risked her health, the health of all of her partners, and her childrens. And now she's not going to tell the father of the one child.

There are so many levels of wrong there.
