Sharing my frustrations

I bought a small size takeaway chicken and corn soup today and was charged 6 dollars for it!!!

That is such a rip-off!!! [:angryfire]

Do you feel frustrated or flabbergasted at prices of takeaways???

For e.g. a takeaway indian with 3 meats will cost 16 dollars here in Aus, a cup of coffee ranges from 3.50 to 4.40 dollars

3 sushi rolls set me back $10.00

Even McDonalds prices have increased.. I had a chicken salad, FI had a chicken burger and we shared a medium diet coke, it was $19.95.. I actually spluttered "How much???"

Very annoying.

I hear ya. I had the worst time adjusting to the price of stuff when I moved down under. I went from having a takeaway Chinese meal in the States for $4-5, to paying at least 3 times that in Perth. Nice meals are another ballpark - $55 for nice Indian for the two of us, a steak dinner in my hometown would be $40 for two.

I''ve gotten used to it now, but I still balk from time to time!
