Cool photo! I was driving home from work when the storm hit my area. The lightning was so intense that it looked like daylight each time it flashed. I haven't seen a storm like that since I moved out here.

Great shot and an even better distance to make it from. I'd not like to be one of the people ON the bridge right then.

I know - from 2 of these on this last Friday - that seeing the flash and simultaneously hearing the clap, is just too dang close. One sounded/looked like it couldn't have been more than a thousand yards away. And sheets of water with it. Typical fun spring in Oklahoma.

Aha, KS, being on the bridge at that moment -- good point! Spooky. I remember some mighty storms when we lived in SF -- in one, the wind was about 90 mph & our windows made cracking sounds & I could hear the wind under the eaves of the house, just like giant hands trying to lift them up. Only time (except for the '89 quake -- speaking of the Bay Bridge) I was scared.
