I am sooooo overwhelmed. Less than nine weeks and I still haven''t sent out invites or had my engagement pictures. No honeymoon booked, no tuxs found, no ceremony written, no flowers, no accessories!

*sigh* life is so busy I can seem to get it together. Anyone else feeling this way?

I feel that way - and mine is 12 weeks out!

What really helps is making a list of things that you want to accomplish by day''s (or week''s) end. Striking items off lists and seeing that you are getting stuff done makes it feel like you are getting somewhere. Plus is allows you to schedule the things that you need to do earliest (like sending invites) to things that can wait just a bit more.

Oh...I hear you. My date is Oct 17....jeesh it is getting close. It feels like the list of things to do keeps growing and growing. One piece of advice is to just make a decision and stick with it. I found that I have this terrible habit of thinking and thinking about a certain thing (shoes, flowers, program...whatever)....and I research and put down ideas/options, but have a hard time actually making the decision. I found that I was wasting a lot of time doing this. So...I just made myself stop. I make myself make a decision, then I stick with it and see it through quickly. Then it frees me up to do the next thing. Apply your professional skills here in your personal life, once I started treating the wedding like my 2nd job, I found it easier to get things done and prioritize. Also, I have made and effort to do at least 1 thing for the wedding a day. This helps too.
Some of the things you listed can be done pretty quickly (tuxes)....so get them out of the way. [Tough love here....] - Get the invites out! Don''t wait on this.... Also, it will make your life easier the sooner you get the RSVP''s, so that you can work on your seating arrangements, etc. earlier.
Let us know if we can help with ideas for flowers, accessories, etc. and post some options :)

Ok, so I made a comprehensive list (at least I hope it is) and I managed to accomplish 4 things today and have a couple more to do this evening with mum.

101 things left to do, lol....really.

I vacilate from feeling that I just want it to be the day, and just forget about the details that aren't attended to yet. And worrying about being able to get it all done in time.

One thing that really helped was getting the marriage license and writing out our ceremony. It calmed me down and helped me focus on the important part, the marriage. The little stupid details... aren't pressing down on me the same way and I'm feeling a little more zen (which wouldn't have been difficult).

My hair and makeup trial (past Sunday) stressed me out though. Will post about that and I'm sure you all will help me with persepective.

((HUGS)) to all my fellow fall brides who are stressing.

IWPO, can I help you with the flowers in any way? Accessories?

I bet that made you feel better, right? I sympathize with you on the list. Mine has about 75 items right now. I also agree w/ gypsy about focusing on the ceremony. I am currently working on that w/ FI and it is helping to ease my stress and it truely does re-focus the perspective in the right place (marriange, not wedding).
Let us know if you want help with any ideas!

Flowers! Thanks Gypsy!

I am looking at doing pale green hydrangeas with white roses and a burgurdy or deep purple flower. I think I want something ball shaped. DIY of course, HELP!

(((((HUGS))))))

thanks in advance!

Oh, Kathryn - it's getting so close! Yikes!

So, congrats on whacking 4 tasks off of your list - seems like you're making great progress. As far as the honeymoon goes, have you ever checked out www.funjet.com . . . they have some incredible deals on trips leaving from DFW.

Oh, and if you want to go all high end on us, www.luxurylink.com is where I've found some awesome deals on high end resorts all over the world!

Just don't forget to breathe - and enjoy yourself during this busy time!
