Seeing your ring of a friend/spouse finger...

I was about to jump on my elliptical machine yesterday and I asked me husband ( who was watching TV ) if he could "wear" my ring, so I could see what it looked like on someone else from a distance...

What I noticed about mine, was not even the size - but it was the sparkle and the light sunshine color that jumped at me!... It was very lovely, lol even on a man''s pinky

have you done that same thing too just to see what your ring looks like from a different angle/perspective?

My mom did that with me all the time when I was a teenager. If I was sitting across the table from her at a restaurant, she would let me wear her rings so she could look at them. She still does it from time to time. I turned it around on her and had her wear the ones in my avi when I got them done (they were her mother''s so she was more than happy to oblige).

I love seeing my rings far away in big mirrors in public restrooms. It looks so sparkly and shiny! It''s so nice to get a different perspective that the straight down one I always see of my ring!

Yes, I often force my older daughter to wear my rings so I can see them.

Gives one a new perspective. They always look great on someone else.

Yes. But my friend hooked me on it. One day I was waffling about a purchase and she put the piece on and just started talking and walking around like normal. I KNEW I had to have the piece and ever since, I have someone else wear a piece before I buy it and Yes, even after I buy it.

I love putting them on our black kitty's tail when he's asleep in the sun -the contrast and the sparkle is amazing.. does a cat count as a friend?

So I bring over hacksaw and some towels to mop up the blood and . . . suddenly . . . he CAN get if off.

Unfortunately, my size 4 ring won''t even slide past the first joint on my fiance''s pinky. And I''d feel a little weird asking a friend to wear my ring so I can see it from a distance although I''m dying to! So true that other people don''t really see our rings from our perspective.
