I am working on addressing my Save the Dates (still can''t bring myself to abbreviate them), and I''m wondering if I should include "and Guest" on the envelope to those who will be invited with a guest. Should I address to "Miss Kitty Bean" or "Miss Kitty Bean and Guest?"

When I have received other Save the Dates recently, they have just been addressed to me, but I don''t want anyone to think they won''t be invited with a guest when they''re making travel arrangements for the wedding.

I was just reading this somewhere the other day and I believe that it said that on the outside envelope, for a formal invite, it is just the person''s name. On the inside or RSVP envelope, it would person and guest or name if you know their name or were able to inquire to find out.

Save the Date''s are more casual and fun so I think that addressing it to Miss Kitty Bean is sufficient unless you know the "guest" well and by name.

kittybean, I''m having the same dilemma as you.

We''re having a DW, so the assumption is our guests might make travel arrangements before they receive their invites. I think it makes sense to put "and Guest" in this situation so they''re aware they can make travel plans for two.

I just sent my STD''s and I didn''t put ''and guest'' I am saving that for the invites. For a destination wedding, I would probably put ''and guest'' on the STD

Thanks for the input so far. We are not having a DW, but there will be quite a few OOT guests. I am leaning toward no "and Guest" on the Save the Dates, but if anyone asks, I will gladly inform them that they will be able to bring a guest to the wedding. Do you think that works?
