At this point it looks like Saturday, meeting for lunch at Whiskenladle and then some jewelry browsing in La Jolla. Unless of course the rube has an interest in going/seeing something else or eating somewhere else. You all may want to check out the menu, posted up thread, to make sure the food and price range work for you, if not we can choose another restaurant.

I checked out the restaurant website/reviews and it looks great to me.

I've met so many (over 60) wonderful people via other hobby Internet sites.

I could only attend Saturday, not Sunday.

Do we want to have brunch or lunch? That would be a good start to picking a time. Then we could either do 10:30 or 1:00. It seems that 1:00 would make it more likely that SDL could show up for a bit (she''ll be awake and it would be easier for her to find us at a restaurant).

Either brunch or lunch is fine for me Saturday, but I prefer brunch.
If it had to be Sunday I could only do brunch not lunch.

LaJolla is a good choice since it will be nice an cool at the coast.
When I was a kid we used to go snorkeling at the cove.
Right on the bluff where all the sheshe shops are they had some kind of shop (gift shop?) which had a narrow stairway that went down do the water.
Does that ring a bell with anyone?

BLAH! I have guests coming in to town on Sunday, (they weren''t supposed to be here until Monday), and my house is a disaster. I have to forgo, can''t leave the cleaning to my husband. I am so disappointed, I was really looking forward to this. Perhaps we can plan another GTG in the fall? I hope you have a wonderful time.

I''m not sure if the GTG is still happening today because we never set a time, but it looks like I can''t make it either. The "small" house project we started this morning has developed complications and I can''t leave DH to deal with it alone.
