I woke up to sunshine this morning and decided to head down for the Jazzy Cats cat show at the Expo Center. If anyone is up for an impromptu get together, post here and we'll figure something out. Dinner tonite, brunch or lunch tomorrow or meet at the show for some cat fun. Guinness record holder tallest savannah cat will be there as well as some other awesome savannahs. I'm driving and should arrive mid-afternoon. Cheers

Fun! I'm actually going to be in Folsom tomorrow, driving down for the day to do some maternity clothes shopping. DH and I like to get out of the cold and snow every now and then, it's been a rough week weather-wise!

Geez, you mean you plan in advance? What a novel concept. LOL. I needed to see what the road conditions were before I decided. We had snow & ice in the Siskiyous the past few days and now we're predicted to have warm temperatures through the weekend. Craaaazy weather. I'm going to wait another 30min. before I leave since road conditions report patches of ice.

Oh how fun! We went to the Jazzy Cats show that was about a month ago maybe? That largest cat is HUGE! I think DH and I enjoyed the show far more than the kids did, but that's mostly because we are infatuated with bengals. I'd love to meet up, maybe I can convince the family to go to the show again. I'm not above bribing the kids...

BTW the longest cat, Stewie, is from Reno. Not sure if that's the same as the biggest cat, but he's a giant maine coon. They just found out he has eye cancer

Oh no no no, did I blow it? Just got back to hotel from the cat show and grabbed a sandwich on the way. So sorry. Thanks for being an angel and having the courage to meet a total stranger. I left my phone in the room and wasn't able to check PS while at the show. Soooo very sorry.

Trouble is the tallest cat. http://www.sacbee.com/2011/12/24/4143543/walnut-grove-cat-certified-as.html Geez, that's bad news about Stewie. There is a Maine Coon at this show that is so large it made me go First time I've seen one in person.

No worries -- I posted rather later in the day, so thought it was a long shot. I mainly lurk (love CS threads) and remembered you from your red spinel ring threads, so figured you couldn't be too scary of a total stranger.

Are there a lot of different breeds at the cat show? I live really close by (the downtown area) and was thinking of going with DH tomorrow to see some ragdolls and savannahs.

There are a few Raggies and a few savannahs. This show isn't as big as it might be at other times of the year. Females are coming into heat and several breeds have already started having kittens so a lot of breeders can't travel right now. There are also some Bengals at the show and a wonderful artist who does cute pencil drawings of cats and I made her a bit more wealthy tonight. LOL.

Oops almost forgot. If you do come look for me over by the savannahs. I'll be wearing Big Red. I'm not sure if I'll stay all day or leave for home noonish.
