Aw, I can't tell you guys how much it made me smile to come home to read about all the people who can't wait to hear about (hmmm, i mean see...)the wedding. I'm working on the pictures, I really am, but we just got back to Pittsburgh from the honeymoon today, and we're leaving for home tomorrow morning, so we still have a lot of organizing, packing, and reassuring the puppy that we aren't leaving again to do.

But I thought I would at least give a detailed report of the wedding.

First, the good (as in, the great, the wonderful, the perfect, the I can't get over it yet happiness):
I really can't get over how much fun we had! I loved so much of it. My dad got so unexpectedly emotional seeing me before the ceremony. The food was good. The dancing was a ton of fun after it got started. My parents got along. I had a blast with my new dh and our wonderful friends. Almost everyone got so totally drunk in such a fun way! DH's cousin even split his pants during Shout and had to wear a pair of DH's grandpa's extras (you know, in case of incontinence), so that was hilarious! The toasts were a perfect mix of sentimental and funny, and all of our friends sort of melded together even though they don't all know each other. It was seriously a blast!

And can I just take a moment to say, I seriously had the best MOH ever! Even my brother and sister in law commented that she was on top of everything and made sure everything we smoothly and that I didn't have to worry about everything (not to mention taking over 700 pictures!!!) So Robbie, I love you, and you seriously helped make our wedding so perfect!

Okay, not to cause too many people to die of jealousy over my near-perfect day...the bad (or, the minor snaffoos).
The wedding ceremony was a full catholic mass with communion. Now, a regular mass, not a wedding, is usually at least an hour. So I figured our wedding would be about an hour if we were lucky. So I told the reception site to expect us accordingly...but our wedding only took 45 minutes! So people got to the reception early and just kinda stood around because the food wasn't out and the bar wasn't open yet, and the coordinator wouldn't open the bar early till I got there and gave the go-ahead since that would mean closing it early. It also means that I don't think our photographer got any pictures of some of the reception details like the empty room or the placecard tables since she didn't get there till we did.
And...our wedding transportation was dh's sister, a bridesmaid, who just bought a brand new car. It was all decorated and ready to take us from the church to the reception, except for the fact that she forgot to get gas! The whole way there we thought we were going to run out because it said she had less than enough to go 5 miles! We seriously thought we were going to be stranded on the way to our wedding, but she refused to stop for gas.

And finally...the ugly (the major issues that luckily we're already laughing about!)
It was 90+ degrees in Pittsburgh! It wasn't too bad before the ceremony, but we did pictures outside in between the ceremony and the reception, and I honestly almost passed out. And unfortunately, I never really cooled down again throughout the night, so by the end, when we were really dancing up a storm, dh had to keep a pocket full of napkins to mop my literally melting face. It was really gross, but what can you do?
Then, I think the dj mixed up our "play list" with our "do not play list"! I specifically requested none of the traditional silly, direction filled dances, and the first song he played after the "special" dances was the electric slide! He went on to play the chicken dance, the locomotion, etc., and didn't play a ton of the stuff we requested. The dance floor was pretty empty for a good bit of the reception until Robbie went over and yelled at him, and then he played more modern stuff and we really got down!
Finally, the coordinators at the church have been dubbed dragon ladies. They were so mean during the rehearsal and the wedding! They were also not very helpful. They knew that we didn't want our groomsmen to seat anyone other than the grandmothers and mothers, but apparently the dragon ladies screamed at them and made them seat all the guests and expected them to know what to do without being told. Seriously, they were mean, but at least I never have to see them again!

ETA: The other craziness was the timing in the morning! Our hair appts ran late, I missed my makeup appt. and had to take Robbies, who went to Sephora to get hers done and then hated it, the hair ladies didn't listen to what anyone wanted and half the girls hated theirs, but it all worked out in the end!
Okay, phew! I think that's it for now! I really am working on pictures, they will be up at least by tomorrow!

Yayayaya, but everything did turn out and YOU ARE MARRIED!!! I can''t wait to see the pictures.

! It''s late, and I''m a little silly. Congrats Mrs. Sabine, and welcome home!

Welcome home, I can''t wait to see pics!! I have to say, I know it was probably pretty upsetting/frustrating and even still is..but that is a bit funny about the DJ. What a mistake to make!! I mean I''ve heard of announcing names wrong, losing playlist, etc....but to mix them up?! That kind of cracks me up a bit. Oh well. I am sorry it happened! But it sounds like it worked out anyway. I can''t wait to see photos oh my goshekjhf4eiuthguo4reh!!
