Hello all! So here's the update.
1. We found our stemware!! We chose Encore Platinum by Lenox to go with our China which is Ballet Ribbon by Waterford.
2. I think we narrowed down BM dress choices.
So here's what it is down between: Amsale in Jade or Steel Blue With Straps, Amsale in Jade or Steel Blue w/o Straps, and Bill Levkoff in Sage.
Pros for choices 1 & 2: Long dresses could be more formal. The tissue taffeta is cool looking in photos (silly I know). Other two BMs kind of liked these two more I believe. Very pretty?
Cons: Girls aren't 100% hip wearing long dresses however. Color seemed a bit harsher on everyone and more fallish. Could get a bit hotter. Kind of looked promy. More expensive.
Pros for choice 3: More elegant, looked a bit better on BM # 2 and love the twisted shoulder detail, has rouching(sp) like my dress has. Color actually flattered everyone better and lighter color seems more summery. Also matches my current color scheme. Like almost half the price of the Amsale. Less expensive.
Cons: Shorter could be less formal.
Right now I feel like we're probably going with the Bill Levkoff gown..but if we didn't..here's the question: if my Matron of Honor (a.k.a my Mom) wears the Amsale gown with the straps and the other BMs wear the strapless will it emphasize her size? She's a plus size gal like me and the other two BMs are very small (petite as in height and weight..my Mom is taller/average and plus size). So my Mom asks if wearing different dresses will make her stand out even more? She said she doesn't want it to look like she had to wear the "big girl dress" if that makes sense. Not that this is a big girl dress..but I hope you follow me. Anyway, any advice would be great. Overall we feel like choice number 3 is a bit more elegant and dressy even though it is tea length. Choices 1 and 2 are a bit promy and kind of made the other two BMs look younger rather than older and more elegant like choice number 3 (they are both late teens, early 20s). Any help/advice would be great! Also, the lady from the salon advised that the satin would actually breathe a bit better than the tissue taffeta in the heat.
ETA: Thanks in advance for your help/opinions!
