I picked that rug before I ran the choices through DH though, and his reaction was EXTREME dislike.. actually his comments were hilarious, but the point is... if that rug is in our house, my hubby is gonna be really displeased. I thought it was a fun piece though.
Rising Sun, I adore that rug and that look! Honestly if I didn't have to worry about hairballs and cat vomit from 4 cats I would be all over a textured rug like that because I adore texture. But unfortunately anything that even approaches shag is very difficult to clean, especially in a lighter color like that, and will um... retain the 'chunks' (TMI). So it's just not practical for my household.
I really appreciate you taking the time to ask your daughter, and I really REALLY do adore that rug. I'm sure it looks fabulous in her place. I'll definitely explore the link you posted for the remodelista site though.

I'm glad you liked the rug. Our pets prefer to vomit on our oriental rugs. When we hear them starting, we rush in and try to move them to the hardwood floors. This tactic has failed. I do understand why even a short shag would be a problem. There are several other area rugs on the West Elm site that may interest you. I think that Restoration Hardware has some rugs, as well.
It was my pleasure to offer some help. I do hope you find what you are looking for. I saw another rug ot two and I will provide a link tomorrow. It's very late here, at present![]()

I like the straw color, myself.

Kilm's are easy to clean. And I like that it's a more casual feel. Plus a decal would probably still work with it.
Might need to go to West Elm, asap. I would go for the 8 x10 in this one and just put part of it under the couch.
Might clash with the coffee table though. Drat. Coffee table isn't casual.
Frap.
I was JUST going to suggest the second one.Gypsy|1295898794|2831658 said:http://www.homedecorators.com/P/Highlands_Rug/270/#BVRRWidgetID ADORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
