Thank you very much for the link, ruby. I am still a bit unclear why there is an allusion to other people's babies, but that link was fabulous. After the article in "The Washington Post" there was a discussion in the comments section that really interested me. One reader who was commenting seemed to know a good deal about the ancient world and cited bits and bobs about ancient Egypt and classical Greece. Someone even pointed out that Jesus would not have been a white Christian with baby blue eyes. It turns out that Megyn Kelly had to be told that Jesus was not "a white man" after she announced that both "Santa Claus" and "Jesus" were "white". (I fact checked this one myself, folks.) Jesus would have been a middle eastern man, a Semite, of the Jewish faith, of course.
