Now that the temp is starting to climb back up, I'm probably going to spend more time outside in the sun.
Does anyone have tips for a good facial moisturizer with decent SPF coverage as well?

I used to really love DayWear by Estee Lauder, but the SPF 15 seems too low on it's own, and I'd like to not have to put on additional sunscreen afterwards, lol.

Thanks in advance!

In the summer when I'm out in the sun for many hours, I usually wear a hat b/c I haven't found a sunscreen that is compatible with my skin. Around my eyes I wear Clarins which is SPF 30. After I apply that, I put on regular eye cream and then concealer because my concealer doesn't blend very good with just the Clarins. (and I wear this year round, not just in the summer)

If you're looking for tons of reviews, Makeupalley.com has reviews of nearly every brand imaginable!

Here's the eye cream I use:

Most moisturizers + SPF is the chemical type, which really isn't effective for too long. I use Shiseido's Ultimate Sun Protection lotion for face/body spf 60 every single day. The sun is really harsh in LA. It's lighter than the one made just for face (which i hated), and it's a physical block so i haven't developed any allergies to it.

I've been using this brand for about 10 years, and it seems to be working well. I'm going to be 32 this fall, i'm out in the sun every single day during lunch, i go to the beach a lot... and no fine lines, wrinkles, or spots yet!

I'm in FL and besides wearing a hat I also use Aveeno's Continuous Protection for Faces (SPF 70). UVA/UVB protection,
oil free and waterproof (sweatproof). I dont think you really need as high as 70. I think its a bit overkill bu...I'm not
getting any younger and figure the extra doesnt hurt  .

Thanks for the recs guys!

I'm mostly just lazy in terms of skin care/make up. I ideally just want something I can put on after I shower in the morning, and run out the door, lol. I don't typically wear make up, but I do like moisturizer because otherwise my skin feels dry.

Mtg, that's what i usually do. shower, moisturize, sunblock, run out! The sunblock takes a min at most since it's liquid. It doens't run once it's on your skin, so i just smear it on like warpaint and wipe it all over my face, even the eyes.

Thanks for starting this thread, MTG.

I'm grateful for all the recommendations too. I currently wear Estee Lauder with an SPF of 15 and am constantly worried abt getting sun-spots on my face (oh the curse of having Asian skin!! :nono: ).

So, should sunscrean (lotion) be re-applied regularly throughout the day, or is one application in the morning enough to last you through the day (assuming you don't sweat it off or wipe it off with your hands or tissue)?

I also carry around an umbrella. Looks stupid, I know but I don't care, ha ha!!

i believe physical blocks only last 4 hrs, chemical blocks last even less. Since I start work at 7am, I reapply when i go outside during lunch. The sun here is killer tho... if i didn't, my skin would be covered in spots! ;)

Thanks. I thought that might be the case, but I'm too lazy...That'd explain why I keep getting brown spots! :nono: :((
