Good photographers are hard to find and I wanted to recommend a good one. I''ll start off saying this is my long time friend''s daughter and her husband. They met in photography school and are degreed photographers who also do commercial work. So for them it''s not a side job, weekends only or something to do with their camera until they find a "real" job. One thing I think you''ll like is on their website they show many actual weddings. A lot to look at.
They probably aren''t for everyone because their style is very creative, a lot of fun camera angles, and interesting compositions. I don''t know how they do at real formal tradition poses. I don''t see a lot of that in their portfolio.
They were married 2 years ago and I went to their wedding which was photographed by their friends from photography school. So they know first hand what a wedding entails and what sort of memories you want to have. Their own photographs were amazing and I thought if they are still doing this when my kids get married I''m hiring them. Since I am not a bride-to-be I have no idea how their fee stacks up but since their are 2 of them and they both shoot I imagine it might be pricer than some.
Just a side note about what they did that I thought was cool and maybe other photographers do it too, is by the time we got to the reception area they had already gone through the ceremony photos, cropped them and had an endless loop on a MacBook which sat on a table at the reception. We could view the photos they JUST took. It was really a nice touch.
I am curious to hear opinions. I was a bride 25 years ago and got horrible photos so I am sympathetic to anyone trying to pick a photographer.
