Hi PSers,

There's a thread on Netflix gems and Amazon prime videos. I would love to see a list of good books that people have read and would recommend. I'll start off with a few by genres that come to mind:

Pulitzer Prize winners - The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen; The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
Fantasy - The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss (book 1 and 2 are out but not 3 yet!)
Fun quick read - The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

Enjoy and happy reading!

I thoroughly enjoyed The fall of Marigolds.
A dual narrative about Ellis Island and 9/11. So moving.

Finished Kathy Griffin Celebrity Run-ins - hilarious!!!

On Missoula by Jon Krakauer- basically about the epidemic of aquaintance rape, as far as I have gotten in the book. It's a must read for every person. I wish they would make it required reading in high school sex education. Not done with it yet. It's gut wrenching, factual, thoughtful, honest and compassionate.

My current very favorite mystery series - Louise Penny's Armand Gamache books. The first is "Still Life."
