I warned you guys that this is a dumb question! Our centerpieces are going to be 20" tall glass cylinders with orchids submerged in them and one of those base thingies that lights it up...so here''s the stupid question part--will those base light thingies actually light up the whole 20" cylinder or am i dreaming a little lighting dream? here''s a pseudo-pic of our centerpieces (wrong colored orchids, no base in this one because it''s on my dining room table, and it''s two 10" vases stacked on each other instead of the 20" with an extra floating candle stuck in there because i didn''t feel like fishing it out of the bottom vase before stacking them, haha!). thanks much for humoring my lunacy!

Hi doodle, I don''t know. Wish I did. Um... where''d ya get those floating candles. I''m thinking of doing submerged flower arrangements for our memorial table with candles on top.

the floating candles, along with the vases and orchids, were a gift from my floral designer. we had an appointment with her friday and since i loved the ones she was using as examples so much, she told me to take them home with me.

can you believe those orchids are three weeks old!?!?!

oh, i should add: she told me she gets a lot of the stuff she uses, particularly candles, at hobby lobby, so i guess check there? thanks for the response--seems i''m not having a very popular day today!

Thanks for the information doodle. I''m sorry you aren''t getting more responses. I haven''t used the LED lights so I don''t know how they''d work.

As for your other post about accessories.... I''m not really good with that. How are you wearing your hair? If you are wearing it up... I do love the look of the necklaces that have the dangly parts down the back. Wish I could be of more help.

So is the question if we think the light will go all the way up the vase? Let me know if I am answering the wrong question. I am not sure they will..is there a way to set a few votive candles around to catch some extra light?

The floralites are pretty good - I haven''t used them myself, but I have seen them and they light up a good amount of glass. You could order one off ebay and see what you think.

I think it will work, my florist showed me a dollar store version and it lit up a vase about half your size....and that was a crappy dollar store version.

thanks for the feedback, y''all! i need to just quit obsessing--i mean, my florist has been featured in bridal magazines, and i''m questioning her! i think i''ve just gotten to that planning point where im between having anything to do, so i''m worrying about the stuff i''ve delegated to others! thanks for the input!
