Has anyone had bead-work redone on their dress? The seamstress told me if I lose any more weight in my waist they will have to redo the bead-work to alter the dress, so I was wondering if anyone had this done and how it turned out. I am worried that I can''t lose any more weight now.

I had pretty much all of my beadwork redone on the bust of my dress because they had to take it in so much. I was really worried because the beadwork was so intricate and had sequins, small pearls, rhinestones and lace among other types of materials. She ended up doing it all by hand and it came out looking perfect. I was truly amazed. I told her it would have been cheaper to get a boob job to fill the dress instead of paying her to do all the re-beading by hand, but oh well :)

I have no doubt that even if you need to have some of the work re-beaded, it willl look great!

I had to have the trim all along the top trim of my dress rebeaded by hand. When looked at super closely, I could actually tell a difference in the way the beads were laying, but it was a last minute thing and my seamstress didn''t charge me much for it even though I''m sure it took her a while, so I wasn''t too upset about it. I think it would be even more difficult to rebead along the body of a dress and not just on the trim...but won''t it be worth it since you''ll be able to show off how great you look after losing weight?!?

Just wanted to say thanks for your input! I feel a bit better now, I don''t really plan on losing a huge amount right now, but it would be nice to know I can lose SOMETHING more..even if it''s 15 lbs! Just shape up a bit.
