Re-decorated my dining room!

DH and I have been renovating and trying to decorate after the madness.... We went to a few different stores today and ended up with this. What do you think? I am going to put something in the vase, but I couldn't find something that I really liked yet.

It looks very pretty. I'd try to find some silk apple blossoms, like the flowers in the painting. I think that would look nice. Apple blossoms come on long branches which would probably be just the length you'd need for that vase.

Thank you all for the kind words! We have been working on this house for over 4 years... and we are just now doing finishing work (like putting the trim and baseboards back up). If feels good to have pretty things in here.

Gemgirl- you read my mind! I'm gonna head to some craft stores and try to find some nice looking silk flowers.

If anyone else has any tips or suggestions, please let me know!

Well I hope you like chocolate because I'll be making Chocolate Sin, a torte made from lots of dark chocolate, butter, eggs, and a teensy bit of flour to hold it together. Rich, intense, and not at all friendly to the hips. I'll bring a bottle of Port which is exquisite with chocolate.
