Frivolous thread warning.

Rank the boys on any virtue that you'd like, talent, skill, charisma, contribution, wit, character, appearance, other - or just in descending order of your favorite ...

Go ahead ... favorite first, least fav last.

My opinion:
Paul
John
George
Ringo

John

Paul

George

Ringo

Paul

Ringo

1. John, the smart Beatle
2. Paul, the cute Beatle
3. George, the quiet Beatle
4. Ringo, the funny Beatle

I think this is how they were described in the teen magazines. I went through a Beatle phase in the late 70's, and I still remember all their birthdays.
The first album I ever bought was Rubber Soul. I loved George's Indian influences.

I'll go with this list!

It occurred to me watching Get Back....George. What a genius...but the fact he could express it at all is made even more remarkable because how could anyone shine next to Paul.
I have new respect for George.

Paul/John, or John/Paul - I can't really decide. Paul leads for his vegan sensibilities, John because he seems to be less pop-oriented.

George

Ringo

And I have to say...Ringo doesn't get enough credit. Like so many other things in life, simplicity is deceptively not all that easy to do.
HIs drumming was revolutionary- and his personality was an essential element.

Watching Get Back...I'll tell a story, which feels like a dream, but it happened.
In 1982 I went to England with Mike Quashie- I was in his band at the time.
He was very close with Isaac Tigrett. The founder of the Hard Rock Cafe.
Isaac was married to Maureen Starky.
We were invited to their home- which was Ringo's home prior to their separation.
She was a super gracious host.
We got there at around 8pm and left at dawn. Spent the entire night BS'ing...drinking wine...
When I saw her in the documentary it all came flooding back...
I have this memory of going to the bathroom, and there's a picture of Ringo, sitting on a horse. Snapshot.....

my fondess for Ringo is inhanced by my fondness for Thomas the Tank engine

also ...
Kenny said we could say things that will spark controversy

But No Mrs Paul McCartney ever broke up the Beatles

I've always loved Paul. Saw him in concert maybe 20 year ago and it was so good! He just seems like a nice guy. I like them all, though.

I don’t like how everything was about Sean, and Julian was consigned to ‘accident borne of a bottle of whiskey’ status. I do love the Beatles but I kind of hated John. And Yoko. But I love the Ballad of John and Yoko.

I agree with Kenny's order. Although I do agree that Ringo was really underrated as a drummer.

And I saw them in concert on their first American tour where I wore my 'I Love Paul' button.
