Random House is going to publish the memoir of Mimi Beardsley Alford, the White House intern who, during the administration of President John F. Kennedy, had an affair with the president from June of 1962 until his death by assasination. She remained silent about the relationship, never telling even her parents or her children about the the event and it became known only in 2003. The book wiill be written with a co-author and will not be a tell-all, but rather a book about the effect of keeping silent upon something for many years of one's life.
The book was previewed in the "Books" section of "The New York Times".
